Question about Dayton (1UM44) Fan
Replaced the switch on a Dayton 1C154C motor and can't get it to run. It is a capacitor start motor and there are 5 wires out of the switch. 3 to the motor and 2 from the power cord. I have rewired the switch as follows.
L - black from the power cord
Green from the power cord to the case of the motor
White from the power cord to the neutral on the switch.
The other 3 wires are blue, white, and orange and were all placed back in the new switch as original. I suspect the winding is open but I do not have a schematic to chase it out. Any help?

SOURCE: Dayton 1/2 hp dual voltage
Wiring would be for low voltage 1-3, 4-2. L1 feeds 1-3 and L2 feeds
4-2. For high voltage L1 feeds 1 and L2 feeds 4 with the 2-3 terminals linked by wire or bus bar.

In the **********, the screws will be market L1 & L2. There will also be a jumper that needs to be connected between the 2 terminals for 230V.

There should be a wiring diagram on the side of the new motor.
The brown and the brown w/ white go to the new capacitor you should have bought with the motor.
The black and white go to your L1 & L2 power source. The remaining wires must be capped off.
