Question about Teac PD-H500 CD Player
The CD door is stuck. It would play normally, except from the last track. When pushing the eject button, the reading stops, but the CD door doesn't move. I opened the stuff and tried to help it pushing manually on the carrier, but it didn't work.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

I had the same issue today. I found that opening the unit you can see that there is a white ribbon cable connecting the head unit to the main board. removing this cable and re-inserting it the connector fixed the problem. The display now works again...hope this helps

SOURCE: TEAC CD P1120 wont play
replace the loading tray belt as this also lifts the laser mechanism up to the level of the disc once loaded.
the humming sound you hear will be the motor trying to lift the mechanism up to read the disc but can't because the belt has lost its tension and is slipping.

Sounds like the door may have something sticky around the edges. Even a little sticky stuff (like from candy-coated fingers...?) can prevent the door\drawer of any CD player from opening.
Try gently "assisting" the door during the few seconds it's trying to open. If it seems like it's not sticking to the housing try the manual eject button.
Depending on your specific device, there should be a very small hole near the door\drawer (Refer to your owners manual for the exact location). It will be just big enough to stick the end of a large paperclip into. Insert the end of a paperclip into the hole and push firmly (make sure nothing is blocking the door\drawer from opening) and the door\drawer should open slightly. Then pull the door\drawer open the rest of the way. If you have to do this, make sure the power is off as the unit might try to close the drawer automatically while you're trying to pull it open.
Once you have the drawer open, inspect the inner surface of the drawer and the area it contacts for anything sticky. Clean with a damp cloth only. Do not spray any cleaner on the unit. If you need to use any cleaners, spray them on the cloth. Clean the area around the inner drawer faceplate and surrounding areas. Let dry for a few minutes then power up and test for operation. It should work fine now.
If not, it may be time to replace this old unit with a new one as repair costs generally exceed the cost of replacement.
Hope this answers your problem. Good Luck!
