I have no picture now but my set would go in stand by mode. My set is 60ex38b Hitachi,1998. It has never had an issue but I was told it was my main board. As you remove the cover and the protection wall it lays flat on the bottom. I already now it's high voltage. I use to bump the blue wired connector to enable a picture again on the left side of this board. I have no part # to replace the board. Now I have no picture if the connector is wigled. I need part # because I am not ready to part with my rear projection t.v. as of yet. I have sat service, so need for a digtal convertor box-I want my t.v. back in optium performance again. Please someone have a part #.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How do you take the front cover off. There are two screws at the

If you are talking about the front cover that contains the speaker grilles at the bottom of the unit, then there are two screws on each side of the unit. These are both at the rear of the cover on each of the sides. Undo these and remove them.

The cover is then held on by Velcro in the front centre of the panel, so you need to pull it off carefully to break the grip of the Velcro. If the TV is on the Hitachis stand then you will need to push the TV backwards off the stand by about 4 inches to give room for the cover to come off. Be carefull when moving the TV backwards off the stand that it does not topple over backwards.
