I've downloaded that from a couple of places...and when I run the setup, it still is not installing the driver for the card. The monitoring utility is isntalled but windows still asks for a driver for the card...

The zip also contains a driver folder...I tried pointing the add hardware wizard to this folder but still it searches for "Network Controller" driver! strange!!

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Dear sir,

Welcome to once again Fixya support

According your problem it seems to be your try to install faulty Network card. So better is check with new good card.another possibility is some time pci slots fail to recognise a hardware, so try it with another pci slots of mother board.According to you onboard network card is dead, means motherboard fails to work when connect to a network, after successfull installation of network card also the possibility of motheboard not allow you to work with new network card ,same situation may arise,i am also managed same problems in several customer place while working as an computer hardware engineer. So try with new network card it may solve your problem

good luck

Problems with WLi N-PCI-G300

Is it possible to install or re-install the latest service packs for XP? Or one thing that may work is can you restore Win XP to an earlier state before this happened(be sure to save all data), then install service packs at that point? Also, is your BIOS on the computer at its latest version?
