ndtorres28..I .could have wrote ur post word for word,in fact a few days ago I wrote in and its almost exactly like ur gps issue...considering all the posts about garmon problems,I think u have the right solution, chuck it in the garbage, take the loss, and then go buy a tom tom...
i fix these and many other magellan
gps daily so when considering
my advice , please understand i do not google my solutions.
assuming your car charger is working (the little green light is on) and
your magellan still wont start up after holding the power button while
plugged in for up to ten seconds and still does not start..read below
is actually a very common problem with these magellan power
ports...they are poor quality from the factory and always and i mean
always fail..the new ports that you find on ebay are 100% better then
the factory port.
if your able to replace that power port
yourself, you can get one HERE, if not, ask the fellow that
sells them for help.
due to some dubious "experts" on fixya, im
not permitted to help you directly, but please follow the link above to

Hey dude, It may be due to corrupt memory card or corrupt memory card slot. Hey guys,
The problem in ur mobile is occured due to damaged software of ur mobile. It is due to virus, i think so.
The main way to fix ur mobile is to go to mobile technician
to get ur mobile flashed. SO u
better go to mobile technician.
Send me a feedback and rate my solution too.
I think that the micro SD card inside the GPS is not in the good position, it is necessary to remove the grey sticker on the rear of the GPS and open the hood to access the SD card and then you can plug it in good position.
I think your problem, as it was my also, is the memory card. I tried with a friend of mine's data card (memory) and is working fine, I sent my card to garming after I talk to them over the phone for an exchange.
I have a 276C with 512Mb data card.
I hope this help you to solve it.
