Check your cabling to make sure you dont have a ground fault. if you still have humming, buy a "groundless" adapter for your power plug (takes the ground away) and plug it back into the power outlet and I bet your humming will be gone

My 1946 majestic radio/record player has a loud hum. How do I get rid of it?

Hi Leslie:
If that is not a typo and you really have a 1946 radio/record player, it will probably have tubes and one or more may be no longer working properly.
You may be able to get rid of the hum by changing tubes.
You can probably get rid of the radio.record player by advertising it under collectible electronics.
Cheerfuls.

I have an Fender Rumble 100. I've had it now for about 10 years. When I switch it on it has an loud hum. I don't want to get rid of it, because it been an good amp. What do that sound like the problem to...

I've included a link which provides information on some of the possible causes for hum in an instrument amp. If all else fails to locate the hum, the hum may be caused by a bad filtering capacitor, possibly in the power supply. I suggest you have the amp diagnosed by a reputable musical instrument shop. How can i get rid of the hum?

It sounds to me like you could have mains hum breaking into your system because the large Electrolytic Capacitors in the power supply of your amp have failed.

Humming noise while driving from left side wheel

Hi and welcome to FixYa!

If you feel that humming noise then it's definitely a worn out wheel bearing. It is connected on the wheel hub. You will need to remove the CV (constant velocity) joint to gain access to the wheel bearing. Have it replaced to get rid of the humming noise.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Hum from tv

try unplugging any equipment that you have attached to the tv one at a time, such as dvd players, surround sound, cable box, etc. also if you have a cable box attached, try adjusting the volume on it. if you have everything unplugged from tv and it still hums, then it may be a tv issue

Newly installed Leviton dimmer switch humming at the switch

Unfortunately, the hum is normal for operation of that type of dimmer at low levels.  Sometimes the lamp filaments will also "sing" a high pitched sound.

Intermittent low hum in TV/cbl mode works fine in tunner DVD mod

I switched out of the audio-out cables from the cable box to the audio in at the Denon receiver and went with a coaxial cable connection. That switch got rid of the hum. I don't understand why the initial connection produced the hum, but the unit is working fine now.
