Sometimes this problem happens when your CMOS battery already dead. Replace the CMOS battery and run F4 to setup the date and time. Save it and you back to business.

Why am I not getting no signal between computer and monitor. Computer is emachine W3118

According to

Your machine may support more than one monitor and have more than one monitor port. Change the cable connecting the computer and monitor to a different monitor port as the computer may not yet be configured for the port you have plugged the monitor in to.

My Emachine T-6216 doesn't boot up, I try a new power supply, a new hard drive and nothing happens. So I assume the motherboard is no good.

Did you try to change the CPU? It is _NOT_ likely to be the problem.
But, if you did, and you still have the problem, then it _IS_ the motherboard.

If you didn't try to change the CPU, it probably _STILL_ is the motherboard.

Contact 'www.eMachines.com' and see if you can purchase a replacement motherboard.

Hi, my 9 month old emachines monitor keeps turning off by itself, sometimes as much as five or six times a minute, otehr times not for 30 minutes. Any ideas?

Sounds like its the motherboard that is failing.

Since it's only 9 months old it should still be under warranty.

This computer will need to be taken in for service and the motherboard replaced.

Emachine....uhh...wont turn on.. green light on motherboard. help

well this would be more simple for me since i have more than one pc so first thing i would do is try another power supply if that wont turn it on then i would say mobo, the PSU's of the emachines are **** and dont last too long...
well i would try the PSU first since its cheaper.

The lights are on, but nobodys home

Im having the same problem with mines, so im on my laptop now. I've done some research and it turns out that eMachines has a habbit of blowing out their motherboards, and that its being caused by the design of the case for which the board sits on. So right now im debating to replace my motherboard or not. Overall I think its best to just get a new computer as the board will go out again in less than a year.

Also try replacing the power supply and the video card if you can. If switching them out doesn't work then its your motherboard :-(

Emachine shut down

No, it's just the USB ports that are still being powered.
Totally normal in most new computers. Same thing with the PS2 ports.
There are jumpers on the motherboard that can change this if you really want. It's designed like that to keep things like you have powered for when you do turn it on and need them.

E machine no power

Make sure the RAM is seated, the CPU, any video card and the Power supply is properly connected.

If you power it on, still get no POST (beep at startup from the PC speakers) its time to replace the motherboard.

Emachines wont boot

Bad capacitor(s) on the motherboard can cause this problem, corrupted BIOS maybe... try flashing BIOS.
Probably the CPU if your not getting any error code beeps on startup.. NO Processor for the BIOS instructions thus no Beeps !
