I let a friend of a friend stay and i have no idea what he did. I did run hot water wash and when there is water inside, i can see all the black dirt, I cant get all of them out. When draining it, all the dirt went with the water out.

Can the bucket inside the washer separable? tks.

is there a easier way to do this? i live in an apartment, i have no balcony. i can only think of bathroom, but it is far. Kitchen is right beside though. Is there something that can dissolve the dirt and drain away?

Could this be from something inadvertently left in a pocket?

I would suggest taking the machine outside filling it with a hose - then set the timer on drain, and discharge all of the water in the tub.

You may have some stuck in the impeller/pump that is just being recycled each time you wash.

It seems like a lot of work - but is less messy than trying it inside - and you can actually SEE it coming out.

The drum is sealed at the bottom where the transmission is. You can take the drum off the machine - yes, but it will require some SERIOUS disassembly.

First the outer shell must be removed, then the agitator removed - then uncouple from the drive. You're looking at about 2 days of work if you have never disassembled a machine.

Its easier to re-locate outside - fill with water (to the top) then pump everything out on the ground.

    Is it actually DIRT?

regular dirt would dissolve in water and be flushed away.

You can do the same thing if you can't move the washer. Fill it with water - and set the machine to drain. It will pump all the fresh/clean water out and take the "dirt" with it.

Why does it always become unbalanced in spin cycle?

how confident are you to get inside it? Check the balance springs and shock absorbers.

Normally it is two simple things.

First the machine must be level front to back and left to right. Also all 4 feet must be in equal contact with the floor.

Make sure you load the washer evenly with clothes. Mix large and small items so when the spin starts the clothes even out. Never wash just one large item that is very absorbent, like one bathrobe or one blanket..

I have a WBSR3140G1WW GE washer. I have notice that my clothes are not spinning dry or mixing. The first thing i checked was the washer timer. That was the same it was not spinning or mixing soap up. So i...

It sure sounds like a relay switch, the reason its coming on when you unplug is something reset so its not broke yet. I would replace the door switch anyway.

GE WSXH208FWW washer leaving spots on clothes

If you are getting round dark spots on your clothes after washing, the problem would be cause by a bearing seal leak. What happens is water leaks pass the seal into the bearings, and the grease leaks back into the wash water. To fix it would require the machine to be literally taken completely apart to get to the bearings. Very costly to repair. Sorry.

GE Top Load Washing Machine -- Agitator will not cycle

Agitator's don't spin on wash cycle.

I would suggest washing the clothes without soap until they rinse clear. If you have hard water, the soap will not easily rinse out of clothes, or off of you when you use soap to wash or shower.

Reduce the amount of soap you use in each wash if this is the case. It sounds like your washing machine is working right.

Sounds like the suspension for the drum is having problems - there are usually springs holding the drum up and acting as shocks - one of the springs may have come off during an unbalanced load.

Dryer putting black smears on clothes

The white plastic pieces just inside the font of the drum are the front bearings there are aboutfour of these, you will need to take the front of the machine to put them in, your clothes are probably picking up black smeres from where the plastis bearings have worn.
