Tap the little house on the left side of your PDA. Then tap Prefs or open it anyway you can. When in Prefs go to Digitizer. Get there anyway you can. When in Digitizer it will give you instructions on how to realign your screen. Just follow the instructions and you should be able to use your touch screen again. This solved my problem with an unresponsive screen.

Interesting note ... I have three Palm Zire 31's--my main one and two backups. The backups sit in my office bookcase just in case the main one ever breaks. Recently the screen of the main one became unresponsive after a week outside in a humid atmosphere. No direct contact with moisture--just high humidity. So when I got home I went to the backups. Both had unresponsive screens. My office has had higher humidity ever since we had a new boiler installed which does not give off much waste heat to the basement. So now I am wondering--does high humidity kill Zire 31 screens?

Well, actually just clean the cornersof the particular pda with a business card, that might really help as most of the time, these problems occur due to dust traped under the screen. Good Luck :)

Touch screen on my Verizon vx6900 is not working

Try resetting the phone (hard reset - see manual) back to factory defaults. If still isn't working, and you are sure that the little ribbon cable from / to the touch screen matrix is good, then you are looking at a failure of the touch screen interface on the main board.

My touch screen froze, so I did a soft reset. This didn't work. So I did a hard reset. All seemed to be going to plan until the 'Align screen' appears. I align the screen as instructed but instead of going...

Whenever you do the alignment touch the spot on the screen with the stylus and hold the stylus on the mark until it moves to the next corner.... this may work

My ipod touch wont work

If iPod touch won't turn on, or if the display freezes or doesn't respond
  • iPod touch may need charging. See "Charging the Battery" in the iPod touch Features Guide.
  • Press and hold the Home button for at least six seconds, until the application you were using quits.
  • If that doesn't work, turn off iPod touch and turn it on again. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPod touch for a few seconds until a red slider appears, and then drag the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
  • If that doesn't work, reset iPod touch. Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If iPod touch continues to freeze or not respond after you reset it
  • Reset iPod touch settings. From the Home screen choose Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. All your preferences are reset, but your data and media are left untouched.
  • If that doesn't work, erase all content on iPod touch. From the Home screen choose Settings > General > Reset > "Erase All Content and Settings." All your preferences are reset, and all your data and media are removed from iPod touch.

To reset the iPhone or iPod Touch, press and hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button simultaneously at the same time for at least ten seconds, then the LCD display will clear and the Apple logo appears on the black background. When Apple logo appears, reset is done.

The touch screen is not working. After resetting

If the buttons on the touch-panel LCD screen do not respond correctly or do not work at all, adjust the LCD screen calibration. Consult the instruction manual if specific information is required to perform this procedure.
NOTE: The touch-panel LCD screen cannot be calibrated if it is rotated.
