I have ran the pot thru a cleaning cycle of DipIT. I fill the pot and the water heats with very little reaching the basket of grounds. I check the stem for obstuction; none; and the ring on the bottom is free. We have been fighting this problem for a week. The pot is about 2 years old and I had the representative to send me a metal top for this pot and been working find. The coffee pot perks to very weak or hot plain water. Email me at skipwbr@comcast.net or rached at (615)-541-0987 central time.

do not fil the pot past 8 cups, you have to give some space for the water to circulate while running the cleaning solution.
