Baby Lock Ellegante 2 - arm will not move from the resting location machine error message says turn off machine, then turn on again. Still yet, same message comes up. I use the machine daily and it is not yet a year old. I last used it on Friday and turned it off on the weekend. Today I turned it on to find this. I've turned it off, unpluged it, removed the arm. Nothing same message and the arm won't move.

Turn off the machine and unplug it for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, plug it back in, turn it on and try it again. If this does not work, something has failed internally and it should be serviced by a factory authorized servicer. The warranty is as follows:

Warranty (25 years limited, 10 years parts, 5 years computer circuit, 5 years electrical, 1 year labor)

For information on where to take your machine for service, contact Baby Lock Customer Support.

Let me know if you have any further questions, problems, or concerns.

I hope you find this information to be very helpful to you moving forward. Please leave feedback.

Respectfully,
Laura

Hi,
Just hold the presser foot all the way up and click the ok button on the screen. The other thing we did would be to hold the presser foot up all the way while turning the machine on while the embroidery unit was already attached. Then switch on the unit and now you won't get any error message .

Hope this helps .

Where to oil ellegante 2 baby lock machine?

NO WHERE. It is oil impregnated.
Only a repair tech should Lubricate, never oil this type of machine.

What is the best course of action.I have a 10 needle baby lock Plus, today my "Main Motor Current Error" appeared on display screen. I shut off for short time and started again. Is there anything i can do...

From the Brother web site I find, " If you are receiving a "Main motor current" error message indicates there is a problem with the unit, and it is recommended that you get the machine serviced.
Take your machine to the nearest Authorized Brother Service Center for repair.
You can locate a Brother Authorized Service Center (ASC) in your area by clicking on the link below.
http://www.brother-usa.com/service/default.aspx or contact Brother Customer service by calling 1-877-Brother (1-877-276-8437) Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Touch Screen in my Baby Lock Ensante is off to the right.

Did you try touching the screen and while holding your finger on the screen, turn the main power switch off and back on?

You need to go to a BabyLock dealer to insure your warranty. They will have the best price for parts and you need to ask them if they have repaired this problem before and how much does it usually cost for the parts.

I have had a BL Ellegante for about 5 years and have never had a problem.

If you cannot locate your warranty information, you can contact BL- there is a website and a toll-free number for customer service. They have always answered my questions promptly and with courteously.
