Question about HP OfficeJet 6210 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Can not reinstall printer software

My printer stopped scanning so I reloaded the software. This uninstalled the existing software. However on re-installation a fatal error occurred due to a more up to date file existing. I thought the uninstall would have taken care of this. I now have no way of re-installing the software. I have tried 3 times and the install stops at 14% each time with the fatal error msg. Any help appreciated.....

    Hello, Tried all steps following ? 1. disconnect the printer from the computer 2. go to the control panel and delete this printer in the hardware 3. reinstall the printer and wait making a connection until the installation has finished or when a text says to do so.

If you have a cd for the driver explore to contents of your CD
got to the UTIL folder then go to CCC and there you will find Uninstall-L3
run it .. it will uninstall the driver from the registery as well
If u dont have the cd you might also use find the UTIL folder in you temp folder
Go to RUN and type %TEMP% and look for the UTIL folder .. the rest is the same
Now restart the computer
Download the latest full feature software and driver from HP.com.
Downloaded softwares are more reliable compared to discs also it is updated.
You can download the software from hp.com
If it does'nt work create a new administrator user account and download the driver and install it

    In the TEMP folder you will find the UTIL folder under the folder name starting with 7z.... You can look on all the folder that starts with 7Z

I already downloaded driver for my HP Deskjet F4185 I can print but can not scan


In most cases the printer driver software can have errors while being in use or is shut down. So to reset remove your printer from the PC and uninstall the printer software. Now reinstall the printer software and then connect the Printer to be detected as a new hardware as it will be installed. Now check the printer properties to see the ink levels.
The reloading must check the errrors of the software and correct the issues, if not the scan section can have errors.

The scanner stopped working. Error message said

Scanner won't stay installed


When you install the printer software is it installed properly? if the printer is installed properly then you will do need to do the same step. First, uninstall the printer software by going to control panel > add/remove programs and then uninstall all the printer software. then go to control panel > printer and faxes if printer is present in the printer and faxes delete the printer. Restart the computer. Before reinstalling the printer software turn off your firewall, anti-virus, spyware if you have any. Then reinstall the printer. Try to scan again. if it works then try to restart your computer and scan again. it should work

Go to the control panel and uninstall it. Don't just delete the program from windows explorer. Reinstall everything. It SHOULD work fine.

C6180 stopped scanning after installing leopard


Unplug the printer from the computer, uninstall the printer software, and download the latest software and drivers from the HP website.

Leave the printer unplugged from the computer while you reinstall the software. When the installation program asks you to plug in the printer, do so.

One the software has completed installation, reattempt the scanning function.
