Question about Dryers
I have dissmantled my tumble dryer and bought the correct drive belt but when i fit it around the wheels and drum it is about an inch too loose how/where do i take up the tension i have a Zanussi TDS382W and the drive belt part number i have bought is 1975H7
Looking from rear of dryer, one spring on motor is for tension, therefore put belt around drum(groove to the drum surface). Then rotate the motor firmly clockwise tensioning the spring, take belt from right of drum over tension wheel then put grooves of belt on shaft of motor.Release motor to tension spring, job done !!!!!

If the belt you are replacing is the same length as the one you took off, it shouldn't be too hard to do. There should be a tensionor pulley attached to a spring that pulls the slack out. Typically, the belt will run on top of the tesnioner pulley, then under the motor drive pulley. Look at the dryer itself and make sure the spring didn't pop loose and fall in the bottom.
