This is a problem related to your print head do this steps in aligning the print head of your printer.

Make sure the printer is loaded with unused white paper.
Open HP Solution Center , then click Settings , then Printer Toolbox .
Select the Services tab, then click Align Printheads .
The Align Printheads window opens. Click Align . The printer prints the alignment page.

But if you don't have the printer software utility installed on your computer this is the way to align the print head.

Make sure the printer is loaded with unused white paper.
Press the Setup button on the control panel, and then press 6 on the keypad or scroll to Tools .
Press 4 on the keypad or scroll to Align Printer .
Press Okay , then press OK again when the alignment is done to continue

If still having same problem after this procedure the print head of your printer may need replacement already.

Check the drivers you are using, try downloading drivers from Nice Label or Segull Scientific. Setup the page size to fit all the text, use a ruler to measure the lables.

PRINTS ON ONLY HALF OF THE LABEL

If the printing clearly stops, then the maximum width setting of the printer is not set to the full 4 inches (104mm) of the printhead. Go into the setup mode on the printer and look for the setting called PRINT WIDTH and make sure it's set to 104mm or close to that. If printing is only half way across the label, it's because the width is set to something less than 104mm.

if the print fades away off the label, that is due to an imbalance in the pressure across the printhead.

Hope that helps !

Zebra 105SL print only half of label

This can happen if your page size in your driver is not set to the actual label size. It can happen if you have old .dll driver files mixed with your mew driver installation.

This is what I would do:
Uninstall the driver completely - delete the icon in Printers and Faxes. Drop down the file menu there and choose server properties and remove the driver for all Zebra printers from the Drivers tab. Go into the LCD menu of the printer and load defaults. Go back into the LCD meny and look at the page width setting. Your printer has 300 dots per inch, so a 4 inch label would be 1200 dots wide.

Another thing to consider is that you may be trying to printer to a 300 dpi printer from a 203 dpi driver. Make sure that you choose 300dpi when you reinstall. This should work.... If not, repost with more details about your application and driver. I can assure you that this is not a printer problem unless half of your printhead has failed.... unlikely, but possible....

My zebra tlp 2844 is loaded with perforated labels 2''x1.38''. each time it prints a label, it spits out about 20 blank labels, then the light goes red and won't print again.

Calibrate it! Hold down the green feed key while powering on and then release when it flashed red. If this fails, look at the page size in the driver or the "Q" and "q" EPL commands that you are sending from you application. Make the proper dots to inches conversion and try again.

When you say 2 x 1.38, it sounds like the labels are 2" wide by 1.38" long. I do not believe that the length is below a specified minumum, but this information is not on the spec sheet. Try tech support if all else fails.

Line Across Page

There could be something on the scan glass. You have to open the cover on the scanner and look across the scanner glass. It is only about a half to an inch wide strip that the original passes over.
If there is nothing on that glass then some of the segments in that array have gone bad and it would need to be replaced.

Zebra TLP2844 Prints Centered and Half the Width

create a word template document with the page size the same size as the label. Set the margins to 0 and fill the label up with text. This should make the printer print right the way over the bale.
