When I turn on the office Samsung CLP-650N color laser printer, an error message reads "Engine Fuser Inverter Error 3" with a red light and the printer cannot perform any further functions. Please advise.

The fuser rollers (large orange rubber rollers visible with top cover open) are getting too hot, or the temperature sensor/wiring is faulty and misreading the temperature. Assuming sensor is okay, check the exhaust fan is running and expelling warm air as over time it will clog with dust and the fuser unit won't be cooled effectively.
there is a thermostat circuit that regulates the temperature of the fuser. A sensor reads its tempurator and something is out of wack -either the sensor or the sensor tempurature circuit .
