My lg DEHUMIDIFIER model #LHD65EBL is no taking in any water. Cleaned the filter and coils.Installed the basket properly.Set the setting at 35 to70 and nothing happens. just runs. About 4 years old.

According to your Owner's Manual. once the humidity extraction level is set at 35%, you should push the minus (-) key one more time to turn the unit ON. It will now run continuously no matter what the humidity level is until the bucket is full.

In case you have misplaced your Owner's Manual, go to the link below and click on English. The Owner's Manual will download and you may print it for future reference.

I hope this helped you solve the problem.

Makes a loud beep every minute or so. Doesn't seem like basket is filling with water either.

Turn the Master ON/Off Switch to OFF and unplug the unit. Remove the air intake filter and clean it. Allow it to thoroughly dry, before reinstalling it. Once the filter is thoroughly dry, reinstall it, plug the unit back in and turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON. Set the humidity level at 35% and allow the unit to run as you normally would. The beating should have stopped, since you cleaned the filter. Be sure to maintain at least 2 feet of clear air space around the dehumidifier.

Hope this helped you to solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.

The dehumidifier is not collecting water in the basket. I have cleand the filter and even taken off the front cover to clean inside. Any other ideas to get this back working?

The lack of water in the bucket, may be a result of the humidity setting on the unit being to high. Try setting the level at 45% or lower. Also, be sure there's adequate air flow around the unit itself. It should remain a minimum of 12' from a wall or furniture. 24" is better.

If the above doesn't solve the problem, try this at home test. Place the unit in the bathroom, turn it ON and set the level as low as possible. Turn the shower ON hot enough to generate steam. Do not turn ON the bathroom's exhaust fan. As you exit the bathroom, close the door. Wait 15 to 20 minutes, before returning to the bathroom. When you do, turn the shower OFF and allow the unit to run for several more minutes. Then check the bucket for water. If there is any sign of water in it, it's working fine. It was probably a case of the humidity level being set to high the first time.

If there was no water in the bucket, the refrigerant gas in the cooling coils and the compressor may need recharging.

Hope this helped your to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.

UNIT TURNS ON AND RUNS BUT NO WATER IS IN THE RESEVOIR BUCKET TO EMPTY, IT RUNS PERFECT BUT JUST DOES COLLECT ANY WATER AT ALL. UNIT IS ALMOST BRAND NEW, EVERYTHING STILL LOOKS NEW BUT WON'T COLLECT ANY...

The air intake filter may need cleaning. Also, check the humidity setting. You may have it set to low. In addition, it wouldn't hurt to check the drain tube or drain hole (whichever one your unit has) that's just above the bucket. You'll see it once you remove the bucket. It may be clogged and is not allowing the water to drain properly. Using a 18" long plastic Zip Tie or something similar (No wire coat hangers) that will comfortably fit into the hole ... Carefully and gently run it as far as you can into the drain hole or tube. The tricky part is when you reach the bend in the tube. So, tread carefully. Once you have it inserted as far possible, as you rotate the Zip Tie, slowly pull it out. Rotating it, will loosen any debris. Be prepared for water to follow.

If none of the above solves the problem, the compressor in the dehumidifier may be low on refrigerant gas and will need to be recharged.

Hope this helps you troubleshoot and solve the problem.

Dehumidifier' problem

1. Very few companies manufacture their own dehumidifiers. 2. Due to cost concerns, the coils are made of steel (not something like stainless steel) and will rust / corode, causing refrigerant leakage, often times after only a couple of seasons. 3. Maytag is not the Maytag of 15 years ago. They cheapend their product to lower cost, looking for increased sales, and have been bought out by Whirlpool.

unfortunately it sounds as though your refrigerant leaked out. If your compressor is running and no moisture, this is probably the case. What is the temperature of the air coming out?
