Your Green CRT is getting Mold in the glycol. This will get worse. You need to drain the glycol out of the crt and clean, then apply new glycol to the crt. You should do the blue one also, because it will go next. The Red can can be left alone.

1. Download the SONYNAVU_U73T_3.2.CN.BIN file to a temporary or download directory.
2. Connect your nav-u personal navigation device to the computer using the supplied USB cable.
3. Power on your nav-u personal navigation device and wait until the "Connect to PC" message is displayed on the nav-u screen.
4. Start the nav-u Tool software on the computer.
5. At the "nav-u tool" window, click "Upgrade System".
6. On the right side of the Upgrade Screen, verify that the target version is 3.00.
7. On the left side of the Upgrade Screen, click the "Browse" button, and go to the directory where the SONYNAVU_U73T_3.2.CN.BIN file was downloaded and then click "OK".
8. In the "Name" box, click to select "3.02 cn NV-U73T" update, and then click the button.
9. After the update file is transferred to the nav-u device a "Transferring Upgrade file completed." message is displayed on the computer.
10. After the system software update is complete, the nav-u device will automatically shut down and restart.

It sounds as though you need to go into the NAV settings and change your search region.
There are 10 geographic regions in North America which will show in the preliminary zone set ups.
Get a manual from your nearest Lexus dealer, better yet ask for a quick walk though of the Nav System from an experienced Sales rep ( one who was there around when the car sold new)... at HIS or HER convenience. Call ahead and respect his time and you should get all the help you need.

The nav feature is purchased separatly with the deck, the previous owner did not purchase it because at the time alpine was charging an extra $1000 on top of the price of the deck to add nav. This is due to the fact that alpine decided to use there own reasearch and development team to design a nav system where as kenwood baught the rights to use garmin's technology and put there name on it which they only charge $400 on top of the price of head unit to add nav.

It sounds like you need to upgrade your video driver. This is a common problem when computers run off the default Windows driver. Probably best to go to the IBM website and get the latest video driver for your model and follow their instructions.

It is very possible that there are some parts in the power supply that are failing. This can be from voltage regulation, filtering, or noise problems.
