if you have run the unit with no oil in the mix ie straight petrol
you will have damaged the piston / rings / bore - do a compression check - if its quite low
check - remove the muffler and check for score marks on piston and rings and bore
if so , the unit may not be worth repair , because compression will be lost past damaged rings
and with damage on piston more scoring / damage will occur
so answer to is there a quick fix - no especaily if what find when you look up the ex port at piston / rings/bore
Initially reset the monitor using the reset settings in the monitor and check it.If you were experiencing the problem only after installation of xp only means then it may be a problem related to the video drivers of the operating system or setting display settings to any wrong values .Check the video drivers are up-to-date and setting are default. If the problem is not solved check the monitor using benchmarking tools and ensure hardware is correct some bench mark tools http://www.benchmarkhq.ru/english.html?/be_monitor.html
Well without knowing the card, i can tell you this. I have a 8800gt 512mb, 4gb's ram and a 3ghz c2d e6600 and i get an average 42fps using the in game benchmark. It depends really what resolution you want to play at. I play at 1440 x 900. You would need at least a nvidia 8600gts or Ati equivalant card to play the game. Also a core 2 duo is definately needed to play this game smoothly- better yet if you have a core 2 quad. If you are using a laptop then I could almost certainly guess that it wont work. If you have a pc using intel graphics then it wont work either.
your card is probably overheating. the alphadog editon has an extremly small cooling for the gpu. try cleaning it with a caned air spray and check the NVIDIA control panel to see the temp. of the GPU if the problem is solved try running a game benchmark to see if that works.
Hi Juan016, you have done everything right. I'd say the 8800GT is bad & return it for a refund. Run the 8600GT & the NVIDIA 6100 at the same time. If you check the middle of page 9 in your manual. NOTE: It states; if a PCI-E is inserted the bios will automatically run the PCI-E card. (No need to make a bios setting change). It also says if you change the setting in the bios to, OnChip and PCIe VGA, the motherboard should run both. Depending what amount of memory you set the NVIDIA to run with. Once in windows check the amount of total memory the NVIDIA or 8600GT reports. Example: You set the NVIDIA to use 64MB & the 8600GT has 512MB than the NVIDIA or the 8600GT should show 576MB. Its not that uncommon one buys a bad video card. Reading the manual & windows not seeing the 8800GT tells me the bios did not see the 8800GT card. The card is bad. You’re doing just fine.
I have tried FEAR, no problems at full tilt settings.. Using the control panel settings to default may not always be the best solution. Check your 1st question thread for some additional solutions I provided.. I think it may be a heat issue.
