Start with testing all of the internal door switches by ohming them out. Also inpsect for any loose wiring or wiring or connections that appear abnormal (such as from overheating).
Do you have a make and model of your microwave oven?

I'm not having any luck locating a Kenmore Microwave with that model number. Try using this Troubleshooting Guide to test your transformer and magnetron. Let me know what you find out. I look forward to hearing back from you. :-)

Hi,
This type of diagnosis will require accessing the EOC, electronic oven control & making some voltage checks with a volt meter. We need to know if you have 240volts coming in & going out of the EOC. If you have a volt/ohm meter please see the wiring diagram provided in the link below. L1 to L2in has to read 240volts. Turn the oven on to bake & check for 240volts from L2 out to BK. If you do not have 240volts I recommend replacing the EOC. If you read 240volts then I suspect a wiring problem between the EOC & oven elements.
Remember to use extreme caution when working with live voltage.

Hope this helps .

Its likely your Electronic Clock/Oven Control Board went out.

Here's the one for sample model: Clock/timer

the timer works, but the - be4a8f2.jpg

Instructions are not included, but its very easy to change out, just pull your range out from the wall, unplug it, then take off the back console panel #56 here: http://www.searspartsdirect.com/part...2102-00001.png

Then your electronic clock assembly is #20, its mounted with 4 screws, just remove the screws, make down down on paper were your wire connections go to, then just install the new one.

Also take the face plate #20A off the old one, and put it on the new one, it just sticks in place.

Check your right part model across info with your right model device. If it doesn't fix your range just return it within 30 days for a full refund.

Hope help.

I had a problem similar to yours and I thought somehow I had ruined the microwave oven. Try unplugging it for about a minute and then plug it back in. My service tech did this and it worked fine after that. Then he billed me $110.00 for the service call.

I have a GE JES831WB 001 microwave that I'd love to fix. The light, clock & timer are working, but that's all - no fan nor heating. Any suggestions?

The door switches are often a problem, one or two are probably defective which would cause the symptoms that you are describing.
