I use the wireless connection with my CLX3175 rather than hard lead. Periodically when I go to print a document it says that there are netweork problems. When yuo search for the printer you find that it is offline and there appears to be no way to get it back on line again. The only solution is to reinstall the printer driver again.
This seems to happen when I take my laptop away from home and then return.
Open the "Devices and Printer" dialog, select "Printer Properties" from the context menu and go to the "Ports" tab. It seems that somehow your printer doesn't always get assigned to the same port. Try checking the correct port and your printer will be online again.

The flashing light is because the printer will not print if it's offline. Be sure the printer is connected to the Internet. It may be offline because you have tried to print too many documents. If that's the case, you will need to delete all the documents that have been sent to the printer and haven't printed. Don't delete the actual document from your computer, but from the print queue.
