Question about Body Solid Body-Solid Fusion 500 Personal Trainer

The weight plate get struck when i doing workout when on the 2 plates and when doing working with more plates it fell like not smooth. is the main cable problem cause it more shorter

I would the entire sequence of pulleys that lead from the lat/chest press cable to the weight stack itself to see if any of the pulley are dragging or the cable is snared. Another thing I would look for is that top plate selector pole is straight . I would loosen the allen bolt 8mm put the selector pin in one lower plate holes then tighten the bolt. If that solve the problem I take the weight stack apart and inspect the bushing for burrs that may be causing the drag.

My bowflex dumbells are jammed and i cant remove them from the holder


Hi I called 1-800-628-8458 (the number in the manual) after trying several of the methods shown here. None worked. your dumbbell needs to be on a flat surface, no roll the dumbbell over to where the weight is facing the floor and the base is up in the air. With both hands lift the base and gently shake, the weight should fall out. Put the base back on the floor face up and inspect the grooves where the weight plates go for any debris. Clean this area if you find debris. Now you will need a pen or pencil with your weight. Grab your weight, still facing down and you will see a black release button on both sides on the inside of the weight. It is in between the metal dial and the inner part of the weight. Now press down on that button with your pen or pencil and start turning the dial (caution: the weight plates are going to fall out) keep turning until all of the plates are out. Do the same thing for the other side. Now grab each plate and put it back on the base where it goes, the smallest plate on the outside to the largest plate on the inside, make sure the small metal piece on the bottom of each plate is facing away from the inside of the base. Do this for all of the plates. Now back to the dumbbell. Grab your pen or pencil again and press down on the black release button and turn the dial to where the number 5 or lowest weight is selected where it reads Bowflex. Do this for both sides. Now grab your dumbbell and carefully put it back into the base. It is important that you put the dumbbell down straight, avoiding any shifting in plates.

If your thread is breaking while your doing embroidery, there could be a few different reasons. 1. The fabric in the hoop has to be as tight as a drum. When you "flick" it with your finger it should give you a poping type drum like sound. If the fabric can flex while the machine is sewing, you will break thread everytime. Also you need to be using the correct backing on the fabric. Your machine has a embroidery advisor that will aide you in choosing the right style of backing for the type of fabric your sewing.
Turn the machine off for the following:

2. Change your needle to a size 12 universal for most embroidery.
3. Inspect the inside hole of the foot for needle strikes. If the needle has struck the plastic "R" foot, your thread could be getting caught on it.
4.Remove the needle plate and inspect the hole for the same rough edges, there can't be any. Cut a strip of a metal sanding paper the size of the hole and floss the hole if needed to remove the burr. DO NOT ENLARGE THE HOLE. Simply smooth the rough edge. The hole size is critical for proper stitch formation. If the plate is damaged to the point metal is missing from inside the hole, buy a new plate.
5. Remove the bobbin case grey cover and the black bobbin case and inspect the metal round thread hook edge for roughness as well. Smoothing the hook is the same as the plate, you can't change the shape of the metal so don't go crazy sanding it. Just smooth the edge. The thread "races" around this area so smooth metal is a must.

Bobbin thread/feed dog eating fabric


This is a very common problem with really lightweight fabric and can often be cured (if doing straight stitching) by using a straight stitch needle plate and foot. The wider needle plate and foot openings on newer machines give the machine/thread a wider area to pull the fabric into the machine. By using a straight stitch plate/foot you remove the wide opening, eliminating the majority of the problem.

Also - try using a specially coated needle (Teflon or other non-stick finish). The thread feeds more smoothly through the needle and the needle more smoothly through the fabric, causing less drag into the needle plate opening.

Counterweith shaft broke off


Bring the broken parts to a local proffessional machine shop. It will no doubt cost a bit, but they should be able to do it. No, epoxy won't work.
