Question about GE 169216
If you're not looking specifically for temp to cook specific food items, rather what lo, med low, med etc mean . . . from the packing insert lo is 185 degrees, med low is 225 degrees, med is 300 degrees, med hi is 375 degrees and hi is 415 degrees. I just purchased this item yesterday.

The best way to check the temp would be using a meat thermometer. Set you temp to a low setting until it gets hot, check the temp.Turn the knob up 1/2 way for 5 min and check the temp. Then do the same with the knob turned fully on. When you have these 3 temp reading you then know what the reading should be around in between these settings you record down on a piece of paper. It a bit of hassle but the only way to get a true reading is to use a thermometer.
