The problem could be with the RAM. If you have two RAM Sticks, try
using one at a time. Else, try replacing the RAM. I faced this issue a
few months back with toshiba and replacing RAM worked.

they have 3 kinds of p30 and i of course dont know which one you have
so what you want to do is select portables->satellite->(whatever p30 you have) then click go then finally go to downloads and search for your sound drivers
