Question about Wacom Intuos2 6 x 8 10-Pack (XD68USBAC10PACK)
My tablet intuos 2 (A5) is having a bit of difficulties when i getting the pen back to the tablet (after a break, even a short one). It takes till 4-5 sec before the cursor gets active again/appears/get recognized... Kinda very annoying... I need to move the pen or even click (touching the tabet) to get it back... However, once active/recognized, it's fine and it works well.
I tried to change the point of the pen and cleaned the tablet surface... didn't help. It's a 5-6 years old tablet, connected via a powered usb hub.
can someone help on this...? I'd prefer a fix than a new intuos 4, even if that'll be a nice upgrade... :-)
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

The drawing surfce is not glued down and should never be glued down. It is replaceable...
It is basically held on the tablet by an adhesive strip (Double Sided Tape) along it's top edge. I was a little worried too, when after spending some time in Photoshop, it lifted away as if stuck to my wrist.
This is not a fault and it will just lay back in it's recess, no harm done.
NEVER EVER glue it down, or when it comes time to replace it, you will not be able too. If it is peeling up and not laying flat, buy a replacement.

SOURCE: Wacom tablet won't recognize pen
Hmm. I've had a similar thing happen with my tablet. Have you tried removing the tablet pen from the list of tools in tablet preferences and then adding it to the list again before checking the 'About' section of the tablet pen set-up and clicking the 'diagnose' button there in? As that worked for me when my tablet pen was not working. The pen was recognized by the tablet after that.

SOURCE: My Pen Doesn't Work
I had the same problem. Tried to re-install, install the newest software, but non of that worked. So what I did is knocked 3 times very hard with the other side of the pen on the tablet... and it's working fine now. I guess the tablet just needed a little boost. Hope this will do the trick for you too.
