Question about Black & Decker Bread Machine

1 Answer

I have a Black & Decker "All in One" bread machine it was working great until the ring holding the blade broke, when I took it apart , there is a rubber seal that holds the blade shaft from inside the pan it has broken. I found a ring but now I need the rubber part. I am sure I won't be able to find one , so where can I find a new pan ?

Hunt around on eBay and see if you can find one there. You will need the model number of the machine. Good luck..Hank

The blade in my black & decker bread machine is stuck and wont come out

fill with soapy water so the level is about an inch or 2 above the paddle and let it soak for 2-3 days. If that doesn't work go to youtube and type "how to remove a stuck bread machine paddle" in the search bar.

I purchased a Black & Decker All-in-One Deluxe Bread Maker at a garage sale. I do not have a recipe book. Can I purchase one or is there a web site where I can get Black & Decker recipes? I'm...

the American number to accessories for your bread maker is 1-800-738-0245. Yup, you will be on hold for 5 minutes, but you will get a human eventually.

I purchased a b2300 bread machine and did not get the mixing blades with machine , how do i get these?

As you know there are 2 paddles. You can order them here for $12.99 each.

http://www.abtecparts.com/commerce/search/products/?product_id=01AXBD5411089130103&merchant_id=1933

If the product is new you should contact Black and Decker using the number in your users manual or 1-800-231-9786 and ask how to get your blades for your new bread maker. This is a bonafide warranty situation.

Thanks for choosing FixYa.

One blade does not turn

The left blade on a BD 2300 bread maker did not turn when neading the dough. I took it apart by removing the six screws in the bottom of the case and the screws inside around the bottom outer edges of the metal insert. I then removed the screws holding the motor assembly to the base. I found that the metal plate attached to the paddle shaft driven by the gear had torn through the plastic gear, and was no longer driving the paddle. I made a new plate with the end bent down 90 degrees so that it fitted into a slot in the plastic gear. This is much stronger and the breadmaker now works fine. This is a weakness in the design and the failure could occur on either paddle. failures of the left paddle could be due to the toothed belt breaking, this drives from the right paddle gear. There is also a belt between the motor and the left paddle gear.

I have a Black & Decker B2200 bread maker on which the spindle has dropped out of the bottom of the bread pan. It looks as if O ring is missing between the spindle and the collar it passes through....

I just bought a new b2250 machine from Zellers for $59 dollars, they also have the b2000 for the same price. It's not worth your time to mess around trying to fix these things.

Black & Decker B2250 - Recipies

Here's a good basic white bread recipe that works great with a BD2550 (and usually doesn't even **** the mixing blade off of the bottom of the machine)

1 cup warm (not hot) water
1/3 cup milk
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 tablespoons butter/margarine
4 cups flour
1 teaspoon yeast

Heat the water and add the milk to it. Dissolve the sugar and salt into this mix and pour the liquid into the bottom of the bread maker bucket (make sure the mixing blade is already in). Melt and add the butter to this mix. Add the 4 cups of flour directly on top, but do not mix it in. The flour will float on top of the liquid. Make a small dimple in the top of the flour in the middle with your finger and add the yeast into that little crater (at no point while adding ingredients do you let the yeast touch the liquid). Set the bread maker for basic setting 1, light crust, 2lb loaf and let it do it's thing. 3 hours later, you'll have a nice loaf of white bread with good consistency and density, and it usually leaves the mixing blade in the bucket (rather than having to dig it out of the loaf after).

Hope this helps!
