You connect cable from camera to an adaptor cable with phono plugs in and scart out. Plug the scart connector to the vcr scart input and press record on vcr and camera. Remember to choose the scart input on your vcr.

Hope this was helpful, i can might make a drawing to explain if you need it.

How do i record with my vcr im trying to record with my surviellance camera but its not recording

The surviellance camera must be connected to the video box so that you have the composite video output signal to be given back to the VCR video Input. Only with this rrecogniosable siganl will the VCR record your visuals.

Reprograming vcr recorder and tv for sec. camera after power outage.

I would unplug all components, wait a few minutes, then plug them in. If this doesn't work, I would check the settings on the VCR and ensure it did not reset to channel 4.

How can i record in vcr

On the power switch. Does it say camera/ player or Camera vtr. If it says player you can not record in vcr as you put it. In the earily days when camcorders were $800 and over ,they all Recorded from line in in the vtr mode. Not any more . See you you can switch to line in mode in the vtr postion however. I have a security camera outside that runs to tv with rca cables. i want to record to a vcr which is connected to tv by coax. i cant get it to record the camera picture. can u help?

The coax connection is one-way RF only from the VCR to the TV. It cannot be used to record from TV to VCR.
Run the RCA cables to the Line or Aux input on the VCR first. Watch on the TV through the coax connection to the TV. You can watch even when not recording the camera signal on the VCR by setting the output of the VCR to Line instead of a channel.
Another option would be to connect a component (RCA) output from the TV (if there is one) to the VCR Line or Aux input.

I have a Zenith DVD/VCR and I am recording a tape

unless the security camera has a setting for recording the date stamp you probably can't. The camera probably has a setup tab to enable embedding the date stamp on the video.

Connections, security camara/vcr/tv

A VCR uses a "RF" signal, where a TV uses a broadcast signal. The standard TV will not record from a security VCR. However, if the TV has a yellow "video in" jack on the back, this will work to record the VCR. You might need to buy a BNC to RCA adaptor at radio shack. Let me know if this does not work.

Convert miniDV to VHS

You use the mini to triple RCA cable with the camera and go into the menu and make sure you are on A/v out instead of headphones. You just hit play on the camera and record on the VCR and Whala, it's done.

How to record from a VCR onto a canon mv530i

OK get a set of cord that can be used, on the back of most VCR's there is RCA Sockets for Video & Audio out... generally Red & White & Yellow these go to the corresponding inputs on the camera's Video & Audio inputs, OR Correct adapter. The camera must have the correct A/V INPUT selected. Then start the VCR to "Play" the tape, and set the Camera to "Record" this will/should then record the output from the VCR to the memory in the Camera.
