Question about Audio Players & Recorders
I have an HCT HMP-40G MP3 player that has a "Lock" icon on the screen that I can't get past. It showed up one day after I had the player hooked to my computer via a USB cable to recharge it. Any ideas how to be able to get it working again?
How to you use the battery? i cannot find a place to insert batteries in hmp 40G of HTC digital video player

SOURCE: MP3 Player Not Charging!!! (USB)
The most common cause is a flat battery. There is a trick to charging
the battery in these small mp3 players. It wont charge if it is turned
on, and it won't charges if it's in sleep mode (zzzz). Here what to do...
1. plug the payer into your USB port. or wall charger
2. switch thje player on
3. turn it off by either holding down the play button, or selecting
"System" from the menu
4. The screen will go black and the battery will begin charging.

SOURCE: creative zen v problems-frozen
I Recently bought a Zen, and it works great. The only problem I found was that it freezes itself from time to time, and the best solution to this problem is on the bottom of your Zen, there is a very small Reset hole. With a needle or a toothpick, gently stick it in, and push lightly. This will allow the Zen to unfreeze, and return back into it's regular mode. All your files will be saved, and kept on to the Zen, so you don't need to worry about losing any of your files.
Any additional help, I'll be glad to answer!

there should be a hold button on top of the mp3 player...
turn that to OFF, that should solve your problem...
To turn the mp3 on press the play button and wait a couple seconds...
