Question about Nokia 6300 Cellular Phone

1 Answer

Hey. My nokia 6300 is not turning on. One day it just turned off automatically (no the battery was not low) and ever since then my phone will not turn on. I charge the battery, then try, still nothing. I've changed the chargers and batterys around... still nothing. I have important things on my phone memory that i would like to see and copy. Please help =]

There could be possibly two causes which are not allowing your cellphone to switch on.

    1. The contact point through which the battery gets connected to your phones mother board has got corrosion or damaged. Just check the brass points (golden) if they are any different colour then carefully clean it with something metalic and then try to switch on your phone. If then also not switching on you need to take it to a mobile repair shop and let them check it probably dry soldering due to which one of the point is unable to contact with the motherboard.

    2. The button you press to start your phone has a dry soldering due to which the circuit is not completing. For this also you will have to take it to a repair shop who will de-solder the button and solder it again.

Nokia 6300 wont turn on, blue lights on side stay on

Hey !
1 . Open the backside of the phone
2 . take off the battery
3 . wait approximatively 10 secondes
4 . back the battery inside & close the phone
5 . switch on the phone
Et voila.

I hope it helps, I have experienced the same and it works for me.

If it don't work try to clean (softly) the sim card and the parts under the battery with air.

If it's not under warranty, Open the case and clean everything inner/outside, connectors etc.. and reconnect again. If this doesn't bring any solution, the best solution is updating the firmware using Jaf or any other flashing software.. Most nokia is solved after the firmware is updated, but in case of hardware faulty, you should consult a technician.. Good luck...

Turns on, hungs up and shuts down

Hard to diagnose without inspecting the phone. But there can be 2 causes. INspect the POWER ON button. Make sure that it is not pushed in and stuck. To test this you can just take out the battery and then insert it back in. Does the phone turn on by itself??
The other cause is water damage. Hopefully your are handy to open and inspect your phone.

Nokia 6300 Blank screen?

Baby-dribble + Phone = Dead Phone If your phone was exposed to baby-dribble, your kid might have killed your Phone. Take it to your local Service-Center and have them take a look at it. Let them decide if the phone could be repaired or might be up for early replacement. Normal warranty-conditions might not cover the damage if its "moisture-damage".
