Any will work asl long as your tv has the inputs available. but the _2_ that work the best i know personally is hdmi first and foremost. then your component cable (red, green, blue). i used them both on hd tv's and hdmi by far is the best. but if you have a vga (computer hookup) on your tv, i suggest trying the xbox vga cable second just as good as hdmi but the audio cables will hookup to another spot on the back of the tv. hope this helps.

If you are connecting via an HDMI cable it may be that it will not support the highest level of HD. You may need to upgrade to a better cable. The only other problem would be that the TV does not support it. I would change out the cable first.

I myself have a 46" RCA LCD flat screen tv, which I have my xbox 360 connected via HDMI cable. If your tv has audio out "rca plugs", which im sure being a newer 3d HD tv, connect the supplied cable to the audio out (red, white) plugs, and then connect your headphones to that jack!

My xbox 360 turns on fine but it won't show on my tv

Im presuming you have check all the cables settings...
and still just audio , It requires that the G.P.U. be Preheated
and seated ( clamp down) and then Burn in A.K.A. x clamp mod.
the dead video problem needs a little more then the regular
x clamp mod , so make sure who ever dose it has a good
success rate .

No sound threw hd

hey jason,
umm im just throwing suggestions out there, have you tried the sound in all of the sound ports in your tv? and if you already have all i can say is try putting the xbox 360 on another tv to see if your cables are good, if not im guessing its your tv. If you have a newer xbox 360 with a hdmi port just get one of those cables they work great as well.

No picture or sound on the tv

where you put the cables for the sound and picture if you look on the end where you plug it into the xbox 360 you will see a little switch it has HD and TV on it depending on what your tv supports (HD ready TV) (normal TV) switch that switch to what TV you have (e.g. HD TV, switch the switch to HD) if that doesnt work then try checking that you have all the cables in the right ports if you have pluged the HD cables into a normal TV then this is not going to work, check cables and check the switch!

Game mode on tv

If you have a HDTV then you need to change the resolution to 720i or 720p to support the XBox 360 HD video. If you have a standard TV (non-HD) then you'll need to change your XBox 360's video settings to non-HD. The problem sounds like your mixing up HD video signal. I really need more info about your TV. Is it HD? Or regular?
