Question about Zebra LP 2844 Thermal Printer
I have a Zebra TLP2844 set up on USB. It was printing ok and then started printing a label and missing one and then printing again and then printing half a label. I have not flashed the hardware but have cleaned and serviced the ribbon feed and the label feed. (thought resistance caused the stoppage) No matter what I get the red light. I am at a loss beacuse I am sure there is a series of flashes on the printer to indicate the error condition. Please help!!!
if the red light is coming on and staying on, it might be a sensor problem. Try pushing on the lid and see if the light goes to green. If it does, it' s the gap sensor. This is how the printer "reads" the labels gaps-the little spaces between the labels. We've solve this in the short term by covering the sensor and manually setting the gap through the programming command prompt,
