Moen L3175 faucet with low water pressure

I have a moen L3175 shower faucet. It is a single handle model. All of a sudden the water comes out about 1/4 of the usual pressure. Both hot and cold water is effected. Other faucets in the same room and other rooms are fine. Thanks for any recommendations you have. Faucet is about 11 years old. Is there a kit to maybe replace a sticking valve? The faucet has individual screw shut offs on each of the supply lines. I think that is what they are.

What do the 3 screws on the moen L3175 shower faucet do?

Two screws hold the cover plate. Behind the plate on some models you might find 3 screws. The two smaller screws on the left and right side of the valve shut off water to the valve and the larger screw on the right side of the valve is the pressure balance spool. The spool is all one piece.

How do you remove the Handle on the L3175? There is a recessed "screw" without any way to remove, screwdriver does not fit, it seems to be smooth. There must be a technique I am unable to figure out.

On the underside of the handle there will be a set screw, usually an allen key that will need to be loosened. Once you do this the handle will pull right off. The moen website shows an exploded .pdf view. I found your model by searching with the model name, Legend.

The moen began to leak over time now i cant turn the water for

Call moen and give them your model no. they will send you a new cartridge free of charge. if you can't wait local stores like lowes will have them. Turn off your main water shut off valve and take off handle, then with some pliers take off brass ring, the cartridge will pull out. First notice the notch it rests in and notice where the hot water adjustment disc is. Assemble the new one the same way, put some vasolene on orings and reassemble. hope this helps.

Moen Single Handle Shower Faucet-turn on get cold, little hot

You can try to rotate the first plastic ring to the left of center a few teeth, this will let the handle advance alittle more to the hot side.

Moen shower/tub faucet

hi... yes that's a very common issue with moen "cartridges" -- it's very simple to fix..... grasp the handle and give it a gentle tug upwards when the water is on... if it retracts again, pull the handle out again and tug again but this time a bit harder. Not sure what causes this on new cartridges but it will fix your issue.
