Question about LG LW7000R Air Conditioner

1 Answer

My ac is extremely loud and vibrates the entire house. Is it supposed to do this. I have 4 other acs in my house and none of them do this. Sometimes the fan blows and that's fine but then it charges and blows the cooler air and the whole house shakes . I bought it last spring for the baby's room and hardly used it but then my daughter was born and its way too loud to sleep next to.

This will need to have the compressor mounts checked...If fan only operation is smooth...and only happens when compressor is on, is a direct sign of vibration off compressor. Check the rubber foot mounts under compressor.....of course this requires removal and cover taken off

no its not suppose to do this, the pump has a broken spring in side it which creates the viberation, unfortunatly the pump is a sealed unit so it can not be repaired.you have to replace the pump, cashie, probably be cheaper depending on age of unit to buy another a c unit.

You need to get on to of your camper and remove the cover, typically a few larger screws and maybe washers will secure the housing cover; (is: the AC's on my unit has 3)

1. Check for any foreign objects between A/C (air conditioning) fan and cooling radiator, producing this loud noise. It is not uncommon for a small animal to have gotten on top of your camper and made its way inside the housing, especially if it has been in storage.

2. Look to see if you have any damaged or missing can blades. If material is missing, the balance could be off causing vibrations. It would also be a good idea to see if any hardware is loose and only needing to be tightened.

3. Having a person to assist, have that person turn on the AC and listen for a loud noise comming from the fan's electrical motor. Like any regular electric motor, bearings can wear out and squealing or other noises will be hear before it finally stops completely.

4. It the unit is not cooling enough of not getting as cold as it once did, you may need to get the coolant recharge, typically an authorized HVAC tech can do that.

5. If the AC is not blowing any cold air at all, most likely the part that is bad (cannot recall exact name right now) is like a coil; black, round, a little bigger then a quarter in diameter and a couple inches long with a couple wires on it. If you have a manual with a diagram, you may be able to locate that part.

Above all else, if there are compounded issues going on, you may want to consider a replacement instead of buying several various parts, depending on the age of the AC you have right now. It may cost a little more but a new one will come with a warranty and be more efficient.

2012 Vw jetta 2.5 only 13k miles has vibration between 45 to 75 mph. Only happens when car is warmed up. car also wanders during and exhaust gets loud. worse when ac is on.what could be causing this?

the car should still be under warranty from time and mileage so have the problem checked by a service section under warranty
vibration could be from failing cv joints, misfire and any number of other things the loud exhaust may be a failed flexible section on the end of the manifold before the cat converter.

Ac fan is making extremely loud noises

Are you referring to the blower motor inside the car? If so, they get leaves in them which puts them out of balance and makes them noisy. Just take out the blower, 3 screws, and clean it. That's the cheap answer. It can be a bad blower motor.

Buzzing Refrigerant Lines

Have someone check your pressures & temperatures in your refrigeration system. Also check the compressor amps with an analog meter to see if the amps fluctuating. There might be something wrong with the compressor.

2001 Jetta 1.8 turbo - a/c intermitently goes warm during idle, and sometimes hear a loud vibration that comes on at off, all during idle.

its prob the cooling fan its located in a housing along with the radiator fan at the front of your engine bay look down when you open the hood . and make sure the fan is spinning run the ac on high and wait ( do this while the car is running of course ) . do not run your ac if the fan isnt working . you will burn up the compressor . the noise and vibrations you feel are from the compressor turning on and off.
now if the fan is working its prob the compressor. if all else fails take it to a mech where they can test it ... its not pricey and its quick

I am working on a problem with a '93 corolla. When at idle with the AC off there is a slight vibration but the engine RPM is about normal, after turnig the ac on and the clutch engages the vibration gets...

heres what ive seen happen. There is an aluminum hub that the new clutch slides onto. it has a groove in the end 4 a snap ring to keep the clutch from sliding off obviously. when you try to slide your old clutch off past that "ring land" it almost everytime breaks!(thin aluminum casting) so you may need compressor anyway. But more than that toyota had a special idle up circuit dedicated to just a/c and it would carbon up and fail--so you probably dont need a compressor any way. look at that first
