How do I print an envelope with my MFC 240C? - Brother MFC 240C All-In-One InkJet Printer

Do U mean wrinkle the envelopes?,,,,I can solve some MFC-9840-CDW issues, but the 7369N is a guess. Read your manual or do a google search.....There maybe a setting in the 7360N that adjusts printing for card stock and envelopes....

switch on the printer
1. install driver for mfc-240c
2. go to control panel in your computer
step to control panel
select START then control panel
3. select printer mfc-240c right click on it and then click on click on <Set as Default Printer>
4. right click again on it the select <properties> then select "print test page"
test page will printout on printer
5. now you can use mfc-240c as printer

The MFC-240C does not have a wireless interface, so you can't connect wirelessly directly to it. What you would have to do is set up a print server, which can be a standalone device or can be one of your computers, and then the other computers would print through that one connected computer.

Maybe you have incorect version of Brother control center or anything at installation you do wrong?

Printing envelopes is tricky. In the MFC-240C, you have to place them face down (with the flap side facing up), and it's best to load one at a time because sometimes the printer has problems pulling it when there is a stack of envelopes in the paper tray.

Make sure the fences are snug against the envelope when you load it. If you get a lot of jamming when trying to feed envelopes, you may have to run it with the flap open -- sometimes the closed flap sticks up just a bit and gets caught as the envelope is fed through the machine.

To orient the addresses correctly on the envelope, you'll need to use the correct settings, depending on which program you're printing from. In Microsoft Word 2003, for example, there is an Envelopes and Labels option under the Tools menu (click on the Letters and Mailing submenu) that you can use to enter the addresses and make sure they line up.

Excellent question. Wish I had the answer. I have the same problem with the MFC-7440N. I hook up my old HL 1240 and it prints them fine, so I now use two printers - one for envelopes and one for normal printing. I contacted Brothers and was told that it was not the printer, but the Application. If so, then why does my old Brothers printer work? They do not have the answer.

have you tried to unplug the machine for twenty minutes then plug the machine back so that it will reboot?

first unplug ur usb cable from ur mfc-240c than deinstall all drivers of your printer

than reboot your system

than when asked for ut plug in your usb cable from ur mfc-240c

the computer wil find your mfc-240c now whend asked for reboot than reboot

TRY OPENING THE BACK DOOR AND TRY RESEATING THE PAPER SENSOR

Common error of brother mfc/dcp printers.
Unfurtunately there is nothing what you can do.

Call brother hotline ask for service/guarantee repair.
