Go into windows explorer and do a search for *.ttf
Does it list the font you are after?
If it does copy it to c:\windows\system directory
If it doesnt you should go to microsoft website www.microsoft.com and look for their download area and you should be able to find some fonts there.

2.
If this isn't the word Gujarati: ગુજરાતી, in Gujarati then your computer probably doesn't have a Gujarati Unicode font installed and you will have problems reading the Gujarati section of this site.
Following are instructions for getting Gujarati Unicode to display properly on various computer operating systems.
Microsoft Windows Microsoft Office 2000 and Microsoft Office XP If you have a copy of Microsoft Office 2000 or Microsoft Office XP, or Microsoft Publisher 2002, and Gujarati is not displaying properly then you should install the Arial Unicode MS font which is distributed by Microsoft with these products.
If you are unsure how to install Arial Unicode MS from CD then please consult the Microsoft Help and Support website - try searching for "Arial Unicode MS".
Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000 Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000 are not distributed with Arial Unicode MS so you will need to install an alternative Gujarati font.
You can download the following free, open source Gujarati fonts from the Indictrans Project:
Padmaa Medium, Padmaa Bold
Once you have downloaded the font file you can install using the font utility in the Control Panel, alternatively just copy the .ttf files into your \windows\fonts\ directory. There are more detailed instructions on our installing fonts page.

Installing fonts as complex script in Microsoft word

you are correct in your assumptions on the fonts. I would suggest searching for "complex scripts" and choosing those you like preferrably in TrueType format for best performance try these and install by saving to your fonts folder.... http://www.fedu.uec.ac.jp/zzzthai/fonts.html

Fonts

I assume you already have fonts you want to install. If not, you'll need to buy what you want first from somewhere like fonts.com.

  1. Open "My Computer"
  2. Open "C:"
  3. Open "WINDOWS"
  4. Find the Fonts folder, but don't open it.
  5. Drag the font(s) you want to install to the fonts folder.
You might need to restart programs you have open for the new font(s) to appear in the fonts menu.
