Zenith ZDA-710 and the disc is stuck inside - Televison & Video

It sounds like the drive belt is slipping or a disc stuck.

Remove the top cover to see the tape and get at it. Remove it there using plastic tools, not metal.

My Zenith LH-C6238M is stuck in progressive scan mode.

its a mechanical problem from the disc tray section.The disc tray dosnt lap well inside,call your tecnician he will know what to do.

The BNZ110 is designed to be for Zenith by default. If it gets changed and won't work, then take the following steps.
1. Remove the batteries.
2. Hold the power button down for 10 seconds.
3. Reinstall the batteries.

This works for many Zenith TV's.

It can only be repaired by the repair shop I think your son broke a lug on the inside it may need a new tray?
