Check SMTP settings 1) Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Under Accounts, tap the account from which you're trying to send mail.
2) Under Outgoing Mail Server, tap SMTP.
3) If you have multiple email accounts on the iPod touch, try using an SMTP server from another account. Select On on the On/Off slider.

That fixed it for me. Hope it helps. There are other things but i think your problem was the one that was bugging me.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I have a MacBook Air, OS X, using Safari. I have been away from Macs for 10 years and just bought the laptop, so trying to reintroduce myself. I can't find where to turn off the pop up blocker for certain...

Block pop-ups on webpages

  1. Open Safari if it is not already open.
  2. Choose Safari > Preferences, and then click Security.
  3. Turn on "Block pop-up windows."

Blocking pop-up windows stops only those windows that appear when you open or close a page. It does not block pop-up windows that open when you click a link.

If you block pop-up windows, you might miss important information for a webpage. For example, a website that provides services to you might use a pop-up window to request your user name.

Block unnecessary webpage content

  1. Open Safari if it is not already open.
  2. Choose Safari > Preferences, and then click Security.
  3. In the "Web content" section, select or deselect types of content you want to block or enable. For an explanation of the options, click the Help button (looks like a question mark).

I can open my yahoo email page but am unable to open any emails. Any suggestions?

Try clearing the cache and cookies of your browser. If your using Internet Explorer, click on the tools option on the upper portion of your screen and then click on internet options. When the internet options page opens up, click on the button that says "delete" then another page will open up. You will have an option there to delete "Temporary Internet Files" and "Cookies". By the way, whenever you got to your email page, do you have a pop up message saying "Do you want to view only the webpage content that was delivered securely?" If you see this pop up you need to click on "No" and not "Yes".

I am geeting a pop up message when I try to open my inbox in my email saying yahoo.com not responding, how can I fix this so it opens normally?

Are you using classic view? If so, try to reload the mail page then press stop before it completely loads, or before the pop up pops. Then change the view to New and Improved, this can be found under Options.

Hope this helps.

I keep getting popups that cover my comcast.net homepage and I can't get into my emails or yahoo messenger. Please help me. This is so frustrating. Mary

To sign in to Web Messenger, you'll need to disable the Pop-Up Blocker. Follow the steps for your browser:

For Firefox:

  1. When a pop-up is blocked:
    - You'll see a bar at the top of the browser window that says "Firefox prevented this site from opening a pop-up window."
    - On the right side of that bar, you'll see an Options or Preferences button.
  2. Click Options or Preferences ' select Allow popups for webmessenger.yahoo.com.
  3. Click Sign-in again.
    - You may need to reload the sign-in page.

For Internet Explorer:

  1. When a pop-up is blocked:
    - You'll see a yellow bar at the top of the browser window.
    - You'll see a message that says "Pop-up blocked. To see this pop-up or additional options click here...".
  2. Click on that yellow bar at the top of the browser window ' select Always Allow Pop-ups from This Site ' click Yes on the confirmation dialog.
  3. Click Sign-in again.

For Safari:

  1. You'll see a warning above the Sign-in button.
    - You won't see any other type of warning.
  2. Select the Safari menu at the top-left of your screen ' un-check Block Pop-up Windows.
  3. Click on Sign-in again

My apple safari has given me a corrupt message

Without knowing what the message is you are getting, I would suggest you reset Safari. Open Safari, click the Word Safari on top left, then from the pop-down menu click Reset Safari.
