Your question is not quite clear as to which content you wish to erase; however, if you mean to erase or delete photos stored in the camera memory, here is the process.
1. Switch off camera,
2. Remove SD Card,
3. Close cover and switch on camera,
4. Go to view mode and chose what to erase. Follow the standard procedure for erasing photos. Check to confirm that photos have been deleted/ erased
5. Switch off camera again and re-insert SD card.
Hope this helps - and please check to indicate if it does!
It sounds like the memory card got corrupted. If the memory card shows no files, there are no files. I'm sorry, but they're gone. Are you SURE the pictures aren't on your computer? Most cameras delete the pictures AFTER it copies them to your computer.
Are you formatting the card in the camera as you're supposed to? Have you tried going into the menu and finding "reset" and followed the on-screen instructions? Do you have photos on the internal memory? If so, remove your card and format the camera to erase the memory.
To format the card:
1 Pressing the Erase mode button and the Flash mode
button at the same time sets the screen to the YES/NO
2 Press the OK button to start formatting (the Card error
indicator blinks). Press the Erase mode button to cancel
3 When the card formatting is done, the Card error indicator
To re-format the card intentionally:
Press the Erase mode button and the LCD monitor ON/OFF
button simultaneously, with the power OFF, to set to the Yes/No display and then press ok.
I had success with this 1. Do not save any new file to memory card. 2. Connect your card to computer. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in My Computer. 3. Download recovery software, recommended one is this photo recovery software (simply because i was using it and it worked) 4. Install and open the photo recovery program, select your memory drive, and click 'Start' button to start scanning process which will find your deleted photos.
