For no known reason the setup is now gone when we get ready to do another presentation. Now we have to go through the menu and reset the brightness, etc, everytime we do another presentation. Have never had this problem before, we use the same computer, connection, screen, location, etc.

Have you gone into your setup menu on the satellite and changed any display settings? My 60" HDTV was doing similar things and i was not able to use picture format on my controller to get fom zoom to wide screen, and so on. I had to go into my dish menu and go to setup then video and adjust some settings to display the TV resolution ratio. I was not in the HDMI connection menu when the new TV was origianlly installed to my DIsh. Also had to do same thing on my PS3 under settings and video output resolution.
you have most likely lost 2 of your color guns, most projectors have RED, Green and BLUE as the projector colors (some newer projectors have added a 4th color). if one of your color guns has gone out, you may experience colors that are not correct. that is where I would start. go to the convergence routine, in your setup menu. this is where you can determine if one of your "guns" has quit working.
okay 1st of all you need to take it off its mount if you havent done so yet or if you never did, you need to connect it to its power cord, press power put it upside down focusing it first of corse, press menu, setup/ installation whatever your projector calls it, projection, and select the correct one, when it has gone back to normall, put unit correct way up and enjoy.
I assume this is an LCD. I don't remember the s4 being a DLP projector.
This sounds like the LCD panel used for the red color has gone out. The image is made up of red, green and blue images layered upon the screen. If the red panel has gone out then there is nothing filtering out the red light in the image. This causes a nice red hue to the whole screen.
It could be a simple open and reconnect fix. I personally have never opened a projector, so I'm not going to walk you through it as I do not know how hard it would be to tinker with. It should eb a cheap fix for a true repair man though.
I can not find the manual for this projector, but on most projectors in the menu you select the position of the projector. You will need to select front/ceiling. If there is not a installation tab on your menu, look under setup. Hope this helps.
you need to turn OFF the message function under the expert tab on the "on screen menu"
In the state of Power ON, press each key in the order of: HELP, UP, LEFT, HELP
Press the Menu Key to display the menu and confirm that Expert is displayed below the menu.
Once you go into Expert mode, go to the Expert2 tab in the onsreen menu and set the message to OFF.
Hope that helps.
