I just had the same problem with my dw1200 yesterday and there is no way to contact customer service because their website is down and none of their phone numbers are working. I just wondering if anybody out there knows how to fix this or at lease a way to contact their customer service.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

I'd agree with you on this. VGA and DVI are completely different decoding circuits with different parametrics needed for input. It could be a bad adapter, and I'd certainly check the video card with another monitor; but finding that not to be the issue... what I said earlier is probably the circumstance. I have often gotten used monitors where the VGA was shot; but, DVI worked, go figure.
If you're using a DVI to VGA adapter, I'd try another, they're usually pretty cheap. If instead you're using a DVI to DVI on the monitor, I'd try an adapter just to see if it's the DVI input of the monitor that's failing.

VGA CABLES 15PIN

Use a VGA cable,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VGA_connector

,connect it to the VGA port on the laptop,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:SVGA_port.jpg

(Color does NOT matter )

A) Laptop OFF, monitor OFF, connect the CRT monitor to the laptop.

B) Turn the CRT monitor on, allow it to warm up.

C) Turn the laptop on. By factory default the display should now show on the external VGA (CRT) monitor.

IF not, there are at least 3 display options;

1) Internal monitor of laptop ONLY
2) Internal monitor AND external VGA (CRT ) monitor
3) External VGA (CRT) monitor ONLY

Press the Fn key down, and hold it down. At the same time tap once on the Display Toggle-Over key.

IF this is in reference to a Samsung NC10-14ROBL Notebook PC,
the Display Toggle-Over key is the F4 key.

I have just bought a new home pc and connected my hp pavilion f50s monitor but no image. I have now connected it to my laptop and it works so monitor is fine. Can you help?

The PC might have a bad VGA output - it should work at the default level without the driver. I'd return the PC to the store. If you have another monitor, try it out to verify the VGA output is bad.

Changing the frequency will not have an effect on the color of the monitor image. If there is a "default" setting or "Reset" button, i would do that. this returns the monitor to the factory default settings which are "usually" pretty good. Adjusting the red driver works as well but the other color divers all work together so it is not a perfect solution, mostly they all need to be moved to get what you need. When you reduce the red you are effectively increasing the other two colors. Based on what image you are seeing it will change but should remainthe same on the same image viewed in the same way, by that i mean you need to view the image in the same software each time for a valid comparison. images can and will change color if they are viewed with different software. Good luck, Worm1855.

1920x1080 resolution-entire screen not viewable

This also happens to my vga connection to my TV.
I used my tv remote "auto" button to re-size it to fit correctly.
If your monitor/TV does not have the adjustment, you may need to
supply your vga compatible device with your monitor's driver software.
This tells your computer what monitor specifications you have.
