Question about Refrigerators
The ice maker stopped making ice. It was fine, but quit making it. The switch is on and the green light is on. I turned it off then on again and that didn't help.
I am going to take a wild guess that you have a GE brand. I did not see if you posted the brand. If there is no water/ice in the ice maker you may find the fill tube through the rear wall is frozen solid with ice in it. You would need to totally melt all of the ice from that tube. If it is iced and you melt it then it freezes up again very soon you probably have a bad water inlet solenoid valve. Try clearing the inlet tube and do not replaced valve until you have repeat problem because it is probably ok.
