If you have version 1 motherboard than the fastest chip you can put in is
    2.8 Ghz .13 micron 400 FSB Socket 478 512K l2 cache.
Basically if your version on the board is under version 3 you are limited to .13 or .18 micron 400 FSB Socket 478 from 1.4Ghz-2.8.

If you have version 3 or higher then it will support HT technology
and the .65-.90nM. 533 Front Side Bus or the 2.2Ghz - 3.06 Ghz.

go to this link, filter on selection BUS SPEED 400 for ver 1 533 for version3 package type 478 select filter results.

That motherboard uses the CPU Socket 1155 LGA. Pretty much any processor for that socket should work. (Source: http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench2/1112660)

Popular CPUs for this board are:
  1. Intel Core i5-3570

Mother board update

Well that can depend on a number of factors like how much you are willing to pay.
Logon to newegg.com or zipzoomfly.com and search through their motherboards for ones that match your processor. pick one that has the features you want. Im partial to Asus boards so id find one of those that would match that processor. They list which processors will work with them so it really is pretty easy. zipzoom is my personal fav.

Plz help me out...problem in assembling AMD Athlon 64 processor in KVM800M board

There is no fix for that. You need a board that is the same as the original because that is the size of the processor. If that is a socket 462 processor, it is only designed and will only run in a motherboard with socket 462 on it. You need to either replace the processor or replace the board with the correct one.

Intel processor E2200 LGA775 not working

This motherboard supports Intel single core Pentium 4/ Celeron processors, according to the asus website.
So your dual core is not supported.
You need to get a intel pentium 4 or celeron processor

Upgrading Processor

You can not put a dual core processor in there because the board will not support it. However, you are able to place any socket 478 pentium 4 processor in there. Let me know if this helps.
