There probably is no easy solution, but I would remove all preamp outputs(not speakers) meaning tape out*if it has one) DVD output, etc. Try to just use the tuner, if you have signal in your area. If it works properly with the cables disconnected, you most likely have the input and output cables reversed.

Dear Sushant,    I do not think your use of an equalizer has caused any problems.  I will explain the proper use of the source/direct button.  This button's function is to monitor the output of a recorder connected to the record outputs of your amp.  When this button is pressed on the sound going to the speakers comes direct from the "source" (cd, radio tuner, phonograph etc.) when in the off position you can monitor the recording of whatever source is being recorded via the tape deck.  This switch must be off to record through the amps record outputs.    To test this, put a blank tape in the tape deck, choose the source as phono and place the dec in record/pause.  With the source direct button pressed on you should hear a change in volume when moving the amp's volume knob only.  When source direct is off you will be able to hear the output of the tape deck, so adjusting the tape deck's record level will also affect the volume coming out of the speakers.  more record level in/ more level out.!    Below is copied from page 9 of your user operation manual for Marantz's explanation of the source/direct button.  image.tiff

My Audiobahn A2301q amp is pumping continuous bass as soon as I turn the car on

When you say it is "pumping continuous bass," is the "bass" you refer to part of the program material from your audio source, is it a continuous low tone, or is it a random popping or thumping with no correlation to whatever program material is being played by your audio source?
If it is bass from the program material you are playing, please further explain why this is a problem.
If it is a continuous tone, you have an open feed line or a defective amplifier.
If it is a random popping or thumping, it can be either a bad feed line, a bad amplifier, or a partially-burnt speaker voice coil.

Mobile entertainment combination, should through the loudspeaker, audio, partials apparatus and power amplifier and balanced system four square face concentrate one's efforts.

The foremost is the speaker, the speaker could be the soul of the sound system, subwoofer shown with the tone and timbre, speaker role at the least accounted for greater than 60 %, though the car itself car environment relatively narrow, the first factory horn position within the design often deviate from the correct audio-visual bearing, so in quality of sound has played many discount. This belongs to congenital abnormality, is any top acoustics host, sound field processors also can't alter the physical phenomenon. So choose good speaker, carries on the reasonable design of sound field will be the first car audio modification process.

The second reason is the source, this is the hardest area of the owners choice, because in the event the customer enjoy audio equipment, source is the most direct. A CD machine at appearance and quality compared to the original host more appealing towards customer, the proprietor often ascending audio series, in order to manage abandon the earlier source, to utilize 56000 yuan to get the new model.

The third part, the partials apparatus and power amplifier. Power amplifier and loudspeaker collocation using the matching of power except a bad tone from the collocation is additionally extremely important. In most cases, of the power amplifier power than horn of power. Many owners think the bass power amplifier only to hold the effect of shock, actually this can be to disregard the car's characteristic, again high-grade car should have noise exist, running along the way of music release the bass will change degree is abate, and add bass power amplifier is will make the reserve capacity increasing, supplement the bass loss and decrease the distortion.

My sony STR-DE475 has no bass. The bass just went out after running it for 6 hours.

Either the subwoofer speaker or its amplifier failed - they couldn't handle the extended use. Simple test to find out which: put the volume really low, connect another subwoofer (or a large normal speaker) to the bass output on the receiver and play some music. If you get sound then the original subwoofer is faulty, just get a new one. If you don't get sound then the amplifier for the subwoofer channel has failed. You could replace it yourself if you have enough electronics repair experience, otherwise it will be cheaper to just get another good sh low end receiver from a site like Ebay.

Do i need subwoofer with power or without power and how to make subwoofer sound on ??? just send me simple setup please ? cheers

Depends on your source and its amplifer complement. Some can drive a subwoofer directly while others just produce a Line Level subwoofedr output for use by a separate amp feeding a subwoofer or self-amplified sub.

The setting up of the source to produce a subwoofer output is totally dependent on its design. Generally, you have to 1) tell it you have a sub, 2) define how bass will be routed or shared among your various speakers accordingto their bass-handling capacities, 3) using test tones, set the relative ludness and crossover settings so you have a uniform sound field.

Name the electronics and get a better answer. Or refer to its manual.

Pioneer Elite vsx-27tx receiver with no bass!?

There may be a subwoofer mute function on your amp. The sub out is nothing more than a preamp output with a low frequency response. It is meant to be amplified by an external amp. Either check your powered subwoofer for operation or look through your operators manual for a sub mute function.

Hello Shaun123, Phase adjust the amount of lag or lead one signal has in reference to another. Frequency is an adjustment of the number of cycles pers second a signal will produce. Gain refers to the amplification factor of a signal. now in reference to you amplifier by changing phase you can set the delay of a signal (if used right you can make a wicked reverb effect), but setting phase normally will affect the tones Frequency will affect for bass and treble functionality Gain will both preset and provide amplitude adjustment (volume) Take into mind these are more then likely presets. I hope this helps
