Hi.

Trip circuit breaker for two minutes and check the state of the lint filter.

If that does not help, the first step is testing and eventually replacing the thermal fuse.

The thermal fuse is located in the blower housing, at the back of the dryer. The thermal fuse cost is only few dollars. Before replacement it can be tested reading Ohms with a multimeter. If the multimeter set on impedance reads infinite Ohms (No continuity, same as on air), then the fuse must be replaced. A good fuse must read low or zero impedance.

If the thermal fuse is OK, the next parts to test are the thermostats. On Miele dryers there are at least two thermostats. One is a control of temperature, the other is an high limit.

The thermostats are tested reading Ohms at room temperature. If any of them returns no continuity at room, then the thermostat is faulty and must be replaced.

If the thermostats and fuse are OK, then the next step is checking the element and fan. The element is tested reading Ohms on solenoid with multimeter set at Rx1. If the tester reads no continuity, then the element is faulty. The fan can be tested jumping its contacts to energize it directly.

If all the parts listed above are OK, then wiring and electronic timer control board must be tested reading voltages at contacts.

The problem is likely the thermal fuse or one of the thermostats.

Apart replacing the part, ensure that the hoses are not blocked , and that there is no lint inside the machine. This may be the reason for the fuse blowing.

Here a general diagram that can help you in identifying parts.

All tests must be done by a trained technician.

To get a technician on site , or to get a quote on repair ring the number listed on the owners manual.
If you live in the US ou can also get a technician contact using Fixya directory:Contacts.

To get parts ring Miele at the number on manual.

Kenmore model 90 dryer electric will dry the clothes takes a long time. Leaves the floor surrounding the dryer damp actually wet just not puddled

Are the clothes wet AND hot? If so - check the exhaust / vent hose for kinks or obstructions. That includes the cap / flap on the outside of the house.

If the clothes are wet AND cold, then the electric heating element isn't heating likely due to a broken or poor electrical connection, burned out heating element, defective thermostat, etc..

My Miele T294C NOVOTRONIC TUMBLE DRYER KEEPS STOPPING AFTER A FEW MINUTES OF DRYING. I CAN SWITCH IT BACK ON IMMEDIATLY ONLY FOR IT TO STOP AGAIN. CAN YOU HELP?

Hi - it seems likely the moisture sensor unit is faulty, reason?

Well Miele dryers after you start up will actually try to work out the amount of moisture in the dryer, it will calcualte the time & temp required to correctly dry the load in the machine. I suspect the sensor is not functioning proper.

I will assume there are no messages or other indications or flashing lights on the right side of the knob - it would be nice to plug my laptop to it and find out for sure..

You have cleaned the heat exchanger unit in the bottom corner of the dryer, the filter in the door and the two on the bottom of the door opening..

Despite all of these I would lean on the faulty sensor as the most likely culprit.

You may have to locate the nearest Miele service agent to help you out...

cheers

No heat

the first thing to check is that you have 220VAC at the plug. If one leg of the circuit drops out you can have this symptom.

My daughter in put a load of wet clothes (not completely finished spin cycle). Now dryer doesn't heat the clothes but seems to have all other functions.

Try running the dryer empty to see if the elements are heating. With the weight of wet clothes it is possible to trip the overloads.
