You may have to open up the unit to find who actually made the panel. Also, realize that the replacement panel may cost almost as much as a replacement unit. You can also use hte FCC ID to track the original manufacturer of the monitor. Search the web for the FCC ID that is on the label with the serial number.

This is an LCD monitor, I an tell because the liquid is running, it means that is broken. Te only way to fix this is by buying another monitor. Maybe you didn't drop it, but, could anybody else drop it?

I drop my sony vaio vgn-nw120j and the screen will not go on

1) Check your laptop works by hooking up an ancillary screen to the VGA port on the back.

2) Assuming that's OK, your screen is either broken or a ribbon connector has become detached, either way you have to dismantle your laptop.

3) Check the screen ribbon connectors are properly connected to both your motherboard and the screen, if its been jolted loose, reconnecting should be the repair. Give yourself plenty of room to work in.

4) Then its onto replacing the screen, fairly straight forward if you're practically minded. But to get an idea, log onto "youtube" and search for screen replacement video's. There are quite a few, watch at least 2 or 3 to get an idea of what you're up to.

5) Buy a generic replacement, its likely to be a lot cheaper than a Sony specific part, check on ebay and other online shops to get an idea of the price.

6) Before you buy, ensure its compatible with your laptop.

Hello my screen was hit with a object and is broken inside, i want to know wher can i buy a new screen for my kdl-52xbr? thank you

There are replacement screens available but I don't know if you'd be able to get an exact replacement for the broken one, but anyway they're expensive and you might as well just buy a new monitor.

Lcd screen damaged needs replaced where can i get replacement

If the screen has a cracked screen - then the LCD display needs to be replaced, but if it has a backlight problem then the fault could be the inverter or the CCFL lamp. These components are cheaper to replace instead of the whole screen.

Dead Screen

Hey hows it going,

My name is ArmyMason, lets see if I can get you going in the right direction. might have a deal on the parts you need but I am thinking it would be cheaper for you to buy a new monitor or consider hitting up a local pawn shop for a cheap replacement. These parts can cost more than the whole monitor because LG buys parts in major quanity and we all know (WalMart effect) the more you buy the cheaper the price. So if you need to take it apart in the back of the monitor are a bunch of screws start unscrewing and make sure you know where they all go. tape them near the hole so that you can find them later. Once all apart, be sure to wear gloves, dont want anything to possiably contaminate you. (LEAD)... get the part number off the screen and look it up in that site. Order it and replace it. It is straight forward to replacing it.

Good Luck,

Screen very muted out -- to light to read anything.

you have a damaged pcb board inside the monitor, replacement of the board is easy (E Bay) or buy a new monitor.

Viewsonic VX922 - black screen of death and the blinking (mocking!) green led

Really if this happens then you may want to contact viewsonic to see if it still in warrant. Reminder that most of their monitors have a 3 year warrany from the date of purchase. So make sure that you have your proof of sales/receipt/POP/invoice or what ever you want to call it ready. This model is old so they will ask for it if its a first time repair.

HP 2025 20.1" Monitor

Unfortunately, the LCD screen of any screen is always the most expensive part of the monitor, and it usually costs as much as the monitor itself to buy, not including shipping and replacing (unless you plan to replace it yourself). I could not find any replacement screens myself, and they are very hard to find. My suggestion is to just buy a new one. Sorry.
