Install windows 7

Hello

The file "uncdms.dll" is associated with Windows Desktop Search. This is not required for installing Windows 7.

I would suggest booting the computer, ignore the "cannot find uncdms.dll" error message. Go to CONTROL PANEL, ADD REMOVE PROGRAMS or PROGRAMS AND FEATURES and uninstall Windows Desktop Search.

Reboot the computer and verify the error no longer appears. Once this is verified, you can continue with the Windows 7 install.

Error 1722

You may encounter the following error on installation:
Installation ended prematurely because of an error
when trying to install 32-bit or 64-bit qlikView on Windows 7. With or without UAC (User Access Control), installation fails.
Suggestions to (re-)install vbscript.dll using regsvr32 vbscript.dll in the c:\windows\system32 (64-bit equivalent) directory didn't help.
On execution of the installer, c:\program files\common files\wise installation wizard has a new msi added that includes the full installer for the qlikView application.
Installation worked by opening your command window (Start -> (All Programs) -> Accessories ->Command Prompt (right-click and run as Administrator) by calling the msi, above, with a few switches:
msiexec /a WISB3[...].msi
That worked.
The command-line registry fix as below
reg delete "HKCU\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{B54F3741-5B07-11CF-A4B0-00AA004A55E8}" /f
didn't do anything...

On the start of formatting there was no error but when it copies files on the the cd 57% then mpr.dll was missing then the program will ask if to retry or exit the installation? how can i solve the mpr.dll...

For installation to be completed, files must be complete. the error you recieved is because the file meant for installation is either missing or corrupt. the best is go to a repair or sale shop where computer accessories or components are sold not just any road side shop, request for XP installation disc. OR contact HP for disc.

Windows system 32 hal.dll error after restoring e-machine

There's actually a number of reasons why these annoying little DLL errors happen, but the most common, is caused when new programs are installed over all old ones and the old ones are not completely uninstalled 100%, causing registry pile ups and of course, getting a .DLL error messages.

Another reason, is damage that's been done by malware/spyware/adware programs, attaching themselves to your PC and wrecking havoc, deleting crucial DLL files from your PC.

The hal.dll file is created during install from 5 other dlls. HAL is the Hardware Abstraction Layer and it's the interface between the system drivers and the actual hardware.

Copying hal.dll will not resolve the problem.

A lot of times the file will be reported missing due to corruption of the boot sector or of the file system

Causes of the "missing or corrupt hal.dll" error include, naturally, a damaged hal.dll file or a hal.dll file that has been deleted or moved from its intended location.

Additional causes may include a damaged or missing boot.ini file or possibly a physically damaged HDD.

Suggested remodies-

1. Restart the PC. The hal.dll error could be a fluke.

2. Check for proper boot order in BIOS. You might see the hal.dll error if the boot order in BIOS is first looking at a hard drive other than your main hard drive.
Note: If you've recently changed your boot order or recently flashed your BIOS, this may be what's causing your problem.

3. Run Windows XP System Restore from a command prompt. If this doesn't work or you're receiving the hal.dll error message before you're able to complete this process, move on to the next step.

4. Repair or replace the boot.ini file. This will work if the cause of the problem is actually Windows XP's boot.ini file and not the hal.dll file, which is often times the case.

5. Write a new partition boot sector to the Windows XP system partition. If the partition boot sector has become corrupt or isn't properly configured, you may receive the hal.dll error.

6. Restore the hal.dll file from the Windows XP CD. If the hal.dll file is truly the cause of the problem, restoring it from the original Windows XP CD may do the trick.

7. Perform a repair installation of Windows XP. This type of installation should replace any missing or corrupt files. Continue troubleshooting if this does not resolve the issue.

8. Perform a clean installation of Windows XP. This type of installation will completely remove Windows XP from your PC and install it again from scratch.

Note: While this will almost certainly resolve any hal.dll errors, it is a time consuming process due to the fact that all of your data must be backed up and then later restored.

Important: If you can't gain access to your files to back them up, understand that you will lose them all if you continue with a clean installation of Windows XP.

9. Replace the hard drive. Finally, if all else has failed, including the clean installation from the last step, you're most likely facing a hardware issue with your hard drive.

10. Perform a new installation of Windows XP after installing the new hard drive.

I have not tried it - but HERE is a free program purporting to fix the error.

Problem w/ WIN2000 Pro & XP Pro

HERE IS THE SOLUTION :
click on the link given below and find oc25.dll....if you are unable to find press keyboard key cntrl + f .A dialog box will appear now type oc25.dll and hit find key and you will find the oc25.dll .click on that file to download it to your computer.

http://www.dlldump.com/dll-files/O_2.html

Once you have downloaded the file you are looking for you still need to make sure Windows or the program causing the error can find it. Follow these steps:

1. If you are encountering an error with Windows...
The file you downloaded needs to be placed into the Windows System directory. On most machines this is one of the following locations:
C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me),
C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000), or
C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP).

If you are encountering an error with a particular program...
The file most likely needs to be in this program's directory. This directory is where the program is installed (i.e. c:\Program Files\ThisProgram).

If this step solves the problem, you do not need to complete step 2.

2. You may to register this file with Windows. Click on the Start Menu and then on 'Run'. If you are replacing a Windows system file, type the following command:
regsvr32 \windows\system\file.dll (Windows 95/98/ME),
regsvr32 \WINNT\system32\file.dll (Windows NT/2000), or
regsvr32 \windows\system32\file.dll (Windows XP).

For example, 'regsvr32 \windows\system\apphelp.dll'

If you are replacing a file for another program, change the directory where appropriate. For example, 'regsvr32 \program files\Norton\xyz.dll'

If the file is registered correctly, you will receive a positive confirmation message.
