Won't stop clicking?
When?
Is it clicking constantly or only when you attempt to ignite a burner?
Normally the clicking can be traced to the electronic ignition that activates when you turn the burner on.

Regardless if you need to turn it off but do not have easy access to the back of the unit, you can always shut it off at the circuit breaker located in the breaker/fuse box.

Hope this helps but if not just let me know.

Sounds like the sensor telling it that the burner is on is shorted out with the jello. turn off the power so you don't get shocked and then give the entire assembly a good cleaning.

GE range electric lighter will not stop lighting

Is your range gas with electric ignition? And are the igniters constantly clicking with the burners off? If so it sounds like you may have spilled liquids into the electric switches at the burner control knobs causing them to short. This is a common problem and the best fix is to unplug the range from the power and let the range dry out for 24 to 48 hours. Sometimes using a hairdryer can speed up the drying process. If you did not spill or get any liquids into the burner ignition switches then there is a posibillity that one of the switches is defective. You would need to test each igniter switch with a continuity tester and the burner knobs in the off position(power unplugged for safety) to see which switch is defective and replace that switch.

My GE Profile JPG636 cooktop has an ignitor problem. It clicks constantly, and all the ignitors on all 5 burners are 'going off'. It happens every 8 or 10 seconds whether we're cooking or not. If anyone...

The most common cause for this issue is from liquid getting into the ignition system for the range. If someone has spilled water or other liquids into the burner knobs or the ignition system it will cause an electrical short in the system causing the igniters to come on constantly when the knobs are off. The fix to this is to unplug the range and wait 24 hours for the liquids to dry up. You can speed up this process with a hair dryer pointed at the burner stems(knobs removed). Once the liquids have dried up the problem should stop. I would not leave it plugged in until then because the ignition system could be damaged from the constant sparking.

Have a four burner gas GE Profile cooktop. How do

The igniter module is working fine. One of the switches (which are on each valve shaft) is stuck or shorted out. Pull a wire off each one at a time to determine which one is bad. Careful! 120 volts to each wire. Also, this can happen after you spill water into the valve area, if that sounds right, let it dry out.

I think you are right. Check for an optional valve for propane in your service manual or online on an appliance parts website. You can look up a schematic of all the basic parts.

Profile stovetop spark element will not stop firing all 4 burners are sparking and will not stop unless I unplug the unit

You have a bad spark switch on one of your burner switches.
Remove the control panel to access the switches and burner stems. Carefully remove one wire at a time from each switch. When the sparking stops, that will be the bad switch. Replace the bad spark switch.

I have a ge profile gas range and the burners are making a constant clicking noise and spark. The only way to stop it is by either unplugging it or turning the power off to it

Under each gas control is a switch that will turn on the spark module when rotated to the light position. One or more of these switches has failed. Some models these switches are individually replaceable, others the switch is an assembly of all four.
