Question about Brother MFC 240C All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Set up I wish to install this printer to my dad's computer. How do you attach to computer. It was given to him as an office didn't want it any more. Can't find an outlet to attach a chord from printer to computer. The manual has been misplaced I just want to know how to set it up and use the printer/scan section of it as fax is not working. I didn't want to download all of a manual. Too many pages or maybe you can tell me where to purchase a user manual. Thanks Carol Wells

How do we hook up a second computer to our office xerox workcentre C2424 copier?

The printer will have to be network connected. Connect it to a router with a standard ethernet cord. Plug one end of the cord into the printer and the other into any LAN port on the office router. Have a computer find any network connected printers. If you're a running Windows, this will likely be in Start->Devices and Printers->Add a printer. Let it search and install drivers for your printer and it should be set. Repeat this find process on any other computers you wish to connect.

It sounds as if there is a conflict between the two sets of printer drivers. I would uninstall the new printers software and install the PSC's first. If it installs ok then reinstall the new printers driver. Hopefully all will be well.

Hi there. When you installed the drivers locally to each computer, you should be given the option to select the device as the default printer. I understand that you have not chosen this during your installation process. The best options would be to either install this driver on the server and/or use a logon script to set as the user's default printer upon each log on to their computers.
