SOURCE: grease spots and stains

Yes you can. Remember a front loader has no gearbox so no oil is coming from there? fabric conditioner, washing powder, and oils from our bodys can build up on the tub walls. All it needs is a good flush out. You can use dishwashing powder. Run it through with no clothes in you washing machine on a hot wash or a wash and hold a couple of times to flush it out. NZL

There's a chance that clothes are getting under your agitator and rubbing on the shaft. It's dirty there. Feel under the agitator. If you can get fingers under it past one knuckle(guy's fingers), clothes just might get there too. The only fix is probably a new agitator. Compare the old one with a new one, see if the new one is lower. Agitators come off easy, a bolt is under the Downy dispenser, pull the plastic cover up. Check your agitator dogs while you're there. There's a site here where you can get new ones.

SOURCE: WHIRLPOOL ULTIMATE CARE II MAKES YELLOW BROWN STAINS ON LIGHT COLOR CLOTHES

Grease will not come from the interior of the washer, as the machine ages build up deposits under the basket and it is oily, greasy and full of mildew. If can get a spanner wrench from a appliance parts house and remove the basket you will see on machines older than three years a build up starting. I pulled 15 lbs from a 25 year old machine and I had to go get sick outside, it was bad.

CLOTHES COMING OUT OF WASHER WITH DARK STAINS

Hi Lynn, this is AP.

I understand you are seeing stains and lint on your clothes once removed from your top load washer, model FWS833A. There could be several culprits causing this to happen. To confirm, are the stains not being removed during cycle or do you believe the washer is the cause of the stains? If you believe the stains are being caused from the washer it could possibly be undiluted liquid fabric softener poured directly on fabric. Something more serious could be a broken transmission causing oil to leak in the tub.

There are some basic troubleshooting tips for lint to check such as undissolved detergent can leave residue on clothing. Separate clothing items which shed lint from items which attract lint. Permanent press, synthetic, knit and corduroy items will pick up lint from towels, rugs and chenille bedspreads. Make sure to Use correct amount of detergent, water temperature and water level.

There are some simple troubleshooting tips listed above and in your owner's manual, if you find they do not resolve your concern I would recommend contacting a local authorized technician to inspect the washer.

Thanks,

Washer leaves stains on clothing

Many times when we cook in the kitchen, we get splattered with oils that aren't easily visible. Very often these oil spots pick up dirt from the wash water. These stains don't usually get noticed until after the clothes have been dried. The best thing to do is to rub detergent or stain remover right on these spots and let them sit about half an hour. Then rewash the clothes in as hot water as the material can take afterwards.

Washer leaves oil type stain on clothes.what could be cause?

Stains on clothes from this model of washer are usually caused by the door boot or the tub bearing going out. I recommend cleaning off the surface of the door boot and if you still get stained clothes I recommend having the rear tub & basket checked. I am also sending you more troubleshooting tips in the image below.

Washer not washing leaving stains on clothing

It sounds like the silicone apron between your washer drum and the door has deteriorated. If that is the case, no cleaner will help you.
Best solution is to order a new one.

OIl stains on clothes with front loading LG washer

ftr loader washers do not have any oil, my guess would be you are using fabric softner . that can stain clothes. dilute with water, they are very concentraded. or your dispenser may not be working properly and not releasing softner at the proper time.i would run a clean cycle through it. meaning set on a hot wash- regular cycle no clothes and run wirth bleach in bleach disenser. do this every other month to keep washer clean hope this helps. make sure its not happening in the dryer , the dryer has frt and rear seals that go bad and start leaving marks on clothes and catching them in beteween the tub.

Oil spots on clothes

HI Friend,
First of all relax alright, you are in safe hands.
See every washing machine has a turbine at the bottom f the washing bowl and below that there is a motor. And there wud be a safety valve or (washer ) which basically looks like a ring made out rubber or plastic and when this ring gets outdated or torn it stops controlling the oil flow and thats the reason y ur clothes have the oil stains ,so once it is replaced you will not have this issue.
This would surely help you in getting the clothes clean and tidy.!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have a great day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And please rate me so that I can improve myself(vote).

with the exeption of something you mistakenly left in your clothing and wound up in the washer, not likely stains are from there , most of the time they do come from the dryer, try grabbin an old white rag nad runnig it around hte fron of hte dryer drum and then tyr the rear where the drum meets the back bulkhead. usually leavs brownish streks smome what curved 2-3 inches log. its from hte felt hte supposed to seal the drum. its either wearing thin, or a glide has worn away causing the issue
