I have the RM-Y188 remote and the AV1 switch is in the right position. Pushing the TV botton in the top right flashes the red light but the remote still doesn't work. does that mean the remote is broke? were would I find another factory remote to be able to use all the futures this one has?

If you have the original remote, it does not need any reprogramming because the Sony code will be the first one even if you change the batteries.
Try pressing the TV key on it if you have the RM-Y185 remote, also try to move the switch to the AV1 position.

How I change the video input on my kp-65wv600

There are a couple of ways to cycle through the inputs on the KP-65WV600. The front panel TV/Video button will cycle through the inputs. (This is near the bottom of the button cluster between the Volume - and Flash Focus buttons.) On the original remote, you use also use the TV/Video button; it's above the 1 in the number pad section of the remote. For a third party remote, you will need to find the code that will enable a Source or Input button to cycle through the inputs on the TV.

These are shown in the manual which is available from the product support page: https://esupport.sony.com/US/p/model-home.pl?mdl=KP65WV600&template_id=1®ion_id=1&tab=manuals#/manualsTab . (This is the Manuals, Specs, Warranty tab.) The direct link to the manual is currently https://docs.sony.com/release//KP65WV600.PDF . See page 14 (page 15 of the PDF) for the front panel buttons; see page 48 (49 of the PDF) for the remote control buttons.

I hope this helps.

Kp-65wv600 looks like I'm watching a 3D tv but not tv isnt 3D It has a blue, green and red out line behind the person could it be the lamp light and if so what color

Hello sburdano,
Welcome, and thank you for using FixYa!
To answer your question: The colors are all working, they are just out of alignment.
Judging by what you have said hear, I would assume that the television have been moved, rather roughly, or bumped into rather abruptly. The color wheel will need to be re-aligned to the lamp and lens. You need to find out what your local TV Repair shop would charge for re-tuning.
Have a great day!

Sony KP-65WV600 10/26/2002 rear projection TV. Blue gun went out and glows orange. Convergence chip is out (can not adjust convergence). Sony refuses to help saying my model is not covered by any offer....

The convergence repair if done is possible do it your self; If you have also a bad blue picture tube or some issue related to the tubes then the set is beyond any reasonable repair.,

not always easy to replace a set that cost in its day a lot of money but it is now about 9 years old and that is about average to this type of set.

We have a problem with the blue as well. Sometimes it is good, then it fades to green. Then it went out and back on again. Repair man said it is a bad HT Block and would cost $350 to remedy.
