Try carefully heating the light socket with a hair dryer. This will soften the socket and expand it usually enough to remove the bulb.

Fix a burned out light bulb on dryer?

there should be a light bulb housing in the inside back of the dryer. most just need a screw driver to open in, just remember to unplug the dryer before do any kind of electrical work...that includes changing a light bulb. unscrew the housing, make sure not to lose any of the screws. with the correct light bulb, just replace the burnt out one with a new working one.

I shorted out the counter lights on my frigidair microwave. The microwave works but not the lights. I've replaced the bulbs. What next?

The metal base may have fused together from electrical arcing when the old bulb was removed. The entire bulb receptacle (socket) will have to replaced. If you cannot do that yourself, the cost would be excessive. Just live without the light as long as the microwave gets the job done.

Sub-zero 550 with burnt out light bulbs in freezer, can not figure out how to remove them and replace.

Open the freezer drawer, the light bulbs are not covered, just hidden. If your able, get on you hands and knees, with the drawer open, look inside and up, the bulbs are in front on the top of the freezer compartment and can be unscrewed to replace. The above comment meant is you have issue to preform the task of being on your hands and knees, then laying down could help. As I get older it becomes more difficult to even change a light bulb somedays.
Good luck

Brake light on passenger side rear is burnt out . how do I access the bulb to change it

Many vehicles now require that you open the trunk, pull back upholstry, and unscrew 4 or so wing nuts, and the entire light assembly comes out, and you can change the bulb easily then. This method helps against tail light water leaks, very prevelant in the olden days....

We can't unscrew the bulb from our ihl48 dacor vent hood insert. Someone said to just unscrew it like a light bulb in a lamp but that isn't working. We are afraid to torque it any harder. Any suggestions?

Hello. Be sure to kill the power to the hood at the breaker. Then back to the bulb.
Yes it does unscrew like any bulb. [right is tight and left is loose]. Wear a glove on the hand you will unscrew the bulb with. If it does break, no problem; then use a pair of needle nosed vise grips to grab hold of the metal threaded ring and unscrew it. Often times these bulbs are exposed to so much moisture that they corrode resulting in the difficulty you are having.

4 thumbs up please. ty Joe

How do I replace dashboard heater light? The glowing lights that indicate direction of air flow.

Heater light bulb, and all other bulbs for the air conditioning buttons, are on the same mini panel, and attached to the back of the radio front fascia. To dismount this fascia, you need 1) To pry out (no screws) the clock 2) Unscrew the one screw that holds the top of the fascia (screw is hidden behind clock) 3) Unscrew the two screws at the bottom of the fascia 4) Disconnect all connectors from the back of the fascia 5) Look for the burnt minibulb.
You could replace the bulb without disconnecting, but the cables are short, and the possibilities of marring your dashboard are high.

No brake lights 1990 ford f 150

First, check fuses. If the fuse for tail and brake lights is OK, check the bulbs. If they are OK, you need a new brake light switch, which attached to the brake pedal under the dash. The part should be less than $20. These are a common replacement item on older fords.

I couldn't get my cover off either. My solution was to use a pipe strap wrench, very carefully. Rotate the cap counter clockwise to remove it.
